Just a thought that popped in my head while walking this morning. My list includes: The Wizard of Oz, Any of The Godfather movies, Any Star Wars prequels, and Gone With the Wind. I'm sure many more will come to mind. What's on your list?

I've never seen Citizen Kane. Nor the Godfather movies; I saw parts of them at work when others were watching it on the community tv, but it's just not my genre. Grease or West Side Story (not a fan of some musicals, though I do love the Rick Morannis Little Shop of Horrors). Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher

Same here. I've never seen Citizen Kane. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

I enjoy watching movies, and I've seen a lot of them, but off the top of my head: Bambi. I can recall seeing every other classic Disney film at some point, but have never seen that one. 2001: A Space Odyssey. Tried to watch it once when I was a teenager, and fell asleep partway through it because I was so bored. Haven't circled back around to it as an adult. A few of the "epic classics", like Doctor Zhivago and Gone With The Wind. Dirty Harry, as well as most of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns. Come to think of it, I haven't seen most of John Wayne's westerns either. Just not a "classic Westerns" fan, with a couple of exceptions, like The Wild Bunch. Many of the famous genre-defining slasher flicks, like Friday the 13th, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. Mainly because I dislike cheesy slasher-horror movies. Up until a few years ago, I would have also said the Godfather movies. Since then, I've gotten around to watching 1 and 2, and enjoyed them. (I haven't bothered with 3, on the advice of most folks that it's not worth my time.)

Back in the mid 1970s, there were long lines every evening for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, sort of a cult thing. I never bothered. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Meh. You're not missing much. The film itself is fairly shit. Rocky Horror was more about being a cult social get-together thing than a "quality cinema" thing.

I Deal In Lead |
Of all the ones previously mentioned, the only one I haven't seen is the Rocky Horror one. Not my cup of tea. I'm a movie nut and watch movies all the time instead of watching regular TV.

Gone With The Wind The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Of the movies mentioned so far I haven't seen Doctor Zhivago and 2001: A Space Odyssey Rogue, I just watched Bambi with our 4 year old, don't bother the spoilers are right Bambi's mother gets shot but I didn't realize big Daddy steps up and take care of Bambi. OH and another thing I didn't know Bambi was a BOY, always thought of Bambi as a girl. How sexist of me. David W. Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud. -Sophocles

You missed out - that is/was the best way to watch it. For me though, any of the Godfather movies. I tend to get about 5-10 minutes in and then get bored. (Same thing with the Sopranos too) Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. I envy those that haven't seen Dr Zhivago, I'd love to have the feeling of seeing it for the first time. I was fortunate to see it first run.

I’ve never seen The Wizard of Oz either, nor Citizen Kane. I’ve seen parts of GWTW, but never sat through the whole thing. I saw the first few movies in the Star Wars franchise, because we took the kids to them. Haven’t seen any to follow because I’m not a SciFi or Fantasy movie fan. Same true for Harry Potter. _______________________________________________________ despite them

I’ve never watched Forrest Gump and I never will. I got tired of hearing people quote it.

For material, I reviewed the top 100 movies off all time on IMDB. I haven't seen nearly half of them, and some I've never even heard of. So I'll limit it to what I haven't seen of the top 10: The Godfather (any of them) The Shawshank Redemption Schindler's List Raging Bull One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Of what others have so far listed, nor have I seen: Grease Bambi The Rocky Horror Picture Show "America is at that awkward stage.
