Is Ceasefire Over? Pentagon Answers Definitively In the Tuesday morning Pentagon presser led by War Secretary Pete Hegseth, Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Dan Caine stated very clearly that the US views Monday's escalation (the attack on UAE and some vessels in the Strait of Hormuz) as actions which are "all below the threshold of restarting major combat operations at this point." The Trump administration has argued that it doesn't have to seek congressional approval to continue military operations beyond a 60-day limit because there is a ceasefire in effect. But the question raised Monday is: does the fresh Iranian cross-Gulf mark the end of ceasefire? Clearly the Pentagon and Trump administration are saying no. "No adversary should mistake our current restraint for a lack of resolve," Caine then emphasized. https://www.zerohedge.com/geop...eportedly-clash-over "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

I suspect this is to lower the heat on Trump to conclude things quickly. This way he gets the best of both worlds if that's successful, he keeps the squeeze on their economy but calms the domestic situation over here for a while. Each day they can't ship and make money on oil, the noose tightens. Who blinks first is the only question at this point. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

That changes things for Israel. Their best option is to interdict such shipments before they can be used. Over a period of time using those will result in the landscape looking like parts of Ukraine, no surprise since Hezbollah likes to shit where they eat so, no biggie

A trio of U.S. warships fended off a series of attacks from Iranian missiles, drones, and attack boats on May 7, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced. CENTCOM said the guided-missile destroyers USS Truxtun, USS Rafael Peralta, and USS Mason were sailing through the Strait of Hormuz on May 7 when they came under attack. The U.S. military command said U.S. forces “eliminated inbound threats and targeted Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking U.S. forces including missile and drone launch sites; command and control locations; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance nodes.” cont...

I hope the President is not agreeing to these ceasefires unless it is for some tactical move on our part. He has to know the Iranian leaders have zero intention of negotiating in good faith and they always have the motive of using a ceasefire to regroup or attempt to gain some advantage. .

NPR: Mohammadi received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2023 for her work on women's rights, her activism against the Iranian government's use of torture and sexual violence, and for her advocacy to abolish the death penalty in Iran. At that time, she had already been arrested 13 times, convicted five times, and sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison and 154 lashes. WSJ: She has suffered two “heart attacks” and is in serious condition… the Government has refused to move her to a specialist hospital in Tehran. We need to stop this stupid cease fire game with the Iranians and keep hammering them and killing as many of their leaders and military as possible until they beg for peace. This game of the straight is open again then shut down again a day or two later is ridiculous, every time I read that Trump days were about to have a deal I just simply don’t believe it.

https://www.newsmax.com/world/...dkt_nbr=010102s2iw95 CENTCOM: US Forces Block 70 Iran Oil Tankers The U.S. military is intensifying economic pressure on Iran, with U.S. Central Command announcing that American forces are currently blocking more than 70 oil tankers from entering or leaving Iranian ports as part of a sweeping maritime enforcement operation. In a Friday morning post on X, CENTCOM said the vessels have the capacity to transport more than 166 million barrels of Iranian oil valued at over $13 billion. The operation is part of what officials described as a full blockade targeting Tehran's oil export network. "Blockade remains fully in effect," a CENTCOM graphic stated, adding that "no ships [are] allowed in or out of Iranian ports" as enforcement operations continue "across the Middle East and beyond." According to an accompanying graphic, the operation involves more than 15,000 U.S. troops, more than 200 aircraft, and at least 20 warships. CENTCOM said more than 50 vessels have been redirected to ensure compliance, while 73 tankers remain unable to transport Iranian oil. The mission includes a wide array of military assets, including aircraft carriers, amphibious assault ships, guided-missile destroyers, fighter aircraft, surveillance aircraft, unmanned drones, and refueling aircraft. The stepped-up pressure campaign comes amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran over Iran's nuclear ambitions, proxy attacks across the Middle East, and ongoing threats against U.S. allies in the region. The Trump administration has repeatedly vowed to restore "maximum pressure" on Iran and choke off the regime's primary source of revenue: oil exports. Iran relies heavily on petroleum sales to fund both its government and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which the U.S. has linked to support for terrorist organizations and militant proxy groups throughout the Middle East. U.S. sanctions enforcement efforts have historically focused on preventing Iranian oil shipments from reaching buyers in Asia and elsewhere. The blockade also underscores America's expanding military footprint in the Persian Gulf and surrounding waterways, long considered among the world's most important shipping lanes. Roughly one-fifth of global oil supplies pass through the Strait of Hormuz, making regional stability critical to global energy markets. While critics warn that aggressive enforcement actions could risk broader confrontation with Tehran, supporters argue the operation demonstrates renewed American strength and deterrence after years of instability in the region. The CENTCOM announcement signals that the U.S. intends to maintain sustained pressure on Iran's economy while reinforcing military dominance across the Middle East. "$13+ billion not benefitting Iran's leadership," the CENTCOM graphic emphasized, highlighting the financial impact of the blockade on the Iranian regime.

Identify Confirm Locate Eliminate The "Eliminate" part- anything from Para's video above of a explosive drone, to a Tomahawk missile. Remember when the Israelis smoked a bunch of Hezbollah with explosive pagers? We've been doing pretty good with Hellfires so far. Hide in a bunker? Oh look, a J-DAM! Want to play the "FA" part on a ship? The "FO" might just be a Mk 48 MOD7 Advanced Capability Torpedo. Keep talking shit while you're on the move? I've been wondering if they'd pull a stunt like this. https://www.worthynews.com/114...rg-island-export-hub Massive Oil Slick Detected Near Iran’s Critical Kharg Island Export Hub (Worthy News) – Satellite imagery appears to show a massive oil slick spreading off the coast of Iran’s strategically vital Kharg Island, raising fresh concerns over environmental damage and growing instability in the Persian Gulf amid ongoing regional tensions. According to Orbital EOS, a company that monitors oil spills, the slick covered more than 20 square miles as of Thursday. The spill was detected off the western coast of Kharg Island, though the exact source remains unknown. The Conflict and Environment Observatory, a non-governmental organization tracking environmental impacts in war zones, said on X that the “original source remains unclear,” adding that the slick is drifting south and “seems unlikely to be addressed appropriately.” Kharg Island serves as the centerpiece of Iran’s oil export infrastructure and is considered one of the most critical economic assets of the Islamic Republic. The island contains Iran’s largest oil terminal, extensive storage facilities, pipelines, and loading infrastructure used to export crude oil around the world. The development comes during heightened tensions in the Gulf following Iran’s decision to largely close the Strait of Hormuz after conflict erupted with the United States and Israel on February 28. In response, the United States imposed a blockade on Iranian ports, leaving numerous oil tankers stranded in the region. The growing oil slick could further complicate maritime operations in the Gulf, one of the world’s most important energy corridors, while adding pressure to Iran’s already battered economy. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. Its been talked about that once Iran reaches storage capacity they'd have to shut down their wells which could cause damage. Some speculate they might lose half their wells for a period of time. So, like Saddam who lite the wells on fire the Iranians are going to spill anything they can't store to avoid capping their wells. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!
