Beautiful video. So completely different from the scum fighting against ICE or pro-Hamas demonstrators.

I had a patient once who wanted to take me to "Persia" after the mullahs were gone. That was 2001 I think. His name was Khosrow, which is the name of an ancient Persian king.

State Department Tells US Citizens: 'Leave Iran Now'

The U.S. State Department is urging American citizens to depart Iran immediately, citing worsening security conditions and widespread disruptions across the country.

In a nationwide security alert issued Feb. 6, the Virtual Embassy Tehran warned of increased security measures, road closures, public transportation interruptions, and ongoing internet blockages. Iranian authorities continue to restrict access to mobile and landline networks, while airlines are limiting or canceling flights with little notice.

"U.S. citizens should expect continued internet outages, plan alternative means of communication, and, if safe to do so, consider departing Iran by land to Armenia or Türkiye," the alert read.

"Actions to Take:
Leave Iran now. Have a plan for departing Iran that does not rely on U.S. government help.
Flight cancellations and disruptions are possible with little warning. Check directly with your airlines for updates.
If you cannot leave, find a secure location within your residence or another safe building. Have a supply of food, water, medications, and other essential items.
Avoid demonstrations, keep a low profile, and stay aware of your surroundings.
Monitor local media for breaking news. Be prepared to adjust your plans.
Keep your phone charged and maintain communication with family and friends to inform them of your status."

Officials cautioned the U.S. government cannot guarantee safety for those departing and stressed that Americans should not rely on U.S. assistance to exit. The advisory also highlighted heightened risks for dual U.S.-Iranian nationals, noting Iran does not recognize dual citizenship and may detain individuals based on U.S. ties.

The United States has no diplomatic or consular relations with Iran, with Switzerland serving as the protecting power for U.S. interests in Tehran.

Trump Weighs Second Carrier If Iran Talks Collapse

President Donald Trump is considering deploying a second U.S. aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East as negotiations with Iran resume, signaling that military force remains firmly on the table if diplomacy fails.

In an interview on Tuesday, Trump told Axios that the potential deployment would be part of a broader effort to pressure Tehran as talks restart following last year's brief but intense conflict.

"Either we will make a deal or we will have to do something very tough like last time," Trump told Axios.

The U.S. and Iran resumed negotiations last Friday in Oman — their first talks since the 12-day war in June — even as the Trump administration continued a significant military buildup in the region. Trump said he expects a second round of talks to take place next week.

"We have an armada that is heading there and another one might be going," Trump said, adding that he is "thinking" about sending another aircraft carrier strike group.

A U.S. official confirmed to Axios that discussions have taken place about deploying a second carrier.

The United States already has the USS Abraham Lincoln and its strike group in the region, equipped with fighter jets, Tomahawk missiles, and escort ships. During much of the war in Gaza, the U.S. operated two aircraft carrier strike groups in the Middle East.

Despite the military posture, Trump expressed confidence that diplomacy could succeed, saying Iran "wants to make a deal very badly" and is approaching talks more seriously due to U.S. pressure.

"Last time they didn't believe I would do it," Trump said, referring to U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in June. "They overplayed their hand."

"This time the talks are very different," he added.

Iran has publicly insisted negotiations focus solely on its nuclear program and that it will not abandon its right to enrich uranium. That stance has fueled skepticism among U.S. and Israeli hawks who doubt a comprehensive deal is possible.

Trump said it was a "no-brainer" that any agreement must address Iran's nuclear ambitions, and he believes discussions could also include Tehran's ballistic missile stockpiles.

"We can make a great deal with Iran," he said.

The negotiations come as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to visit Washington on Wednesday. Trump told Axios that Netanyahu "also wants a deal."

"He wants a good deal," Trump said.

Netanyahu said ahead of his trip that he plans to present Israel's views on what he called the "essential principles" of the negotiations.

Meanwhile, senior Iranian official Ali Larijani has been meeting with regional mediators in Oman and Qatar, moves U.S. officials believe are aimed at shaping the next round of talks, according to Axios.

muslims lie, cheat, and steal. It's what they do. No negotiation or agreement with them will be worth the paper that it is written on, and in 5, 10, or 20 years we'll be right back here again.

The ONLY positive outcome for Iran, and the world, is that their muslim government goes away, however that needs to happen.

It is a silly waste of time to bother "negotiating" with them as it will mean nothing in the end.

They have to go. If that means bombing the living piss out of them, then so be it. It is time to end 47 years of hell.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...there will be those who say why are WE doing it? If not us...who? Nobody else seems interested in their own survival. Put my tax dollars to work Donald, and do it yesterday. I want this muslim scourge ended.

Talks With US in Geneva May Include Energy, Mining, and Aircraft Deals, Iran Says

The Swiss ministry did not specify on which days the talks will occur, but Oman will act as a mediator like it did before.

The United States is conducting a second round of talks with Iran over its nuclear program later this week, the Swiss Foreign Ministry said on Feb. 14.

Hamid Ghanbari, Iranian foreign ministry deputy director for economic diplomacy, said Tehran is pursuing a nuclear deal with Washington that would benefit both nations economically.

“For the sake of an agreement’s durability, it is essential that the U.S. also benefits in areas with high and quick economic returns,” Ghanbari said on Feb. 15, days before the planned summit in Geneva, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

The Swiss ministry said Oman, which oversaw the first round of indirect talks between the United States and Iran on Feb. 6, will mediate this week’s summit.

After the previous round of talks, U.S. President Donald Trump warned that if Iran fails to reach an agreement with the United States, it would be “very traumatic” for the regime, which plunged its citizens into an internet blackout throughout the past month and a half amid the nation’s largest wave of protests since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Trump has also suggested Iran could face grave repercussions if the regime continues killing protesters.

Increasing pressure on Tehran to strike a deal, Washington recently dispatched a second aircraft carrier to the region at the threat of another potential military campaign following last year’s blows to Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Although Iran has threatened to retaliate against any additional U.S. attacks, Ghanbari’s tone on Feb. 15 was more conciliatory than the regime’s previous statements.

“Common interests in the oil and gas fields, joint fields, mining investments, and even aircraft purchases are included in the negotiations,” Ghanbari said.

The official said that 2015’s Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action—a nuclear deal among Iran and multiple world powers that eased sanctions on Tehran in exchange for limits on its nuclear program—had not secured the United States’ economic interests.

Trump is prioritizing diplomacy and a negotiated deal between Washington and Tehran, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said at a news conference in Bratislava, Slovakia.

“No one’s ever been able to do a successful deal with Iran, but we’re going to try,” Rubio said.

Trump pulled the United States out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2018 and reimposed strict economic sanctions on Iran.
Geneva Meeting

U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will meet with Iranian officials in Geneva this week, Rubio confirmed, but neither Washington nor the Swiss ministry specified which days.
“Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will be traveling, I think they are traveling right now, to have important meetings, and we'll see how that turns out,” Rubio said.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action included multilateral negotiations among multiple world powers, but the current talks will include only Washington and Tehran, and Oman will mediate.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi told the BBC on Feb. 15 that the ball is “in America’s court to prove that they want to do a deal,” suggesting Iran’s willingness to compromise on its nuclear ambitions in exchange for eased sanctions.

He referred to a recent statement from Iran’s atomic chief that Tehran could commit to diluting its most highly enriched uranium to demonstrate the nation’s flexibility in return for sanctions relief.

Takht-Ravanchi, however, emphasized that Iran would not agree to ceasing all uranium enrichment, a critical impasse in past talks with Washington, which views any enrichment as a gateway to nuclear weapons development. Iran has repeatedly denied that it’s developing nuclear warheads.

Iran Says Agreement on ‘Guiding Principles’ Reached During Geneva Talks With US

Delegations from Washington and Tehran are with officials in the Omani Embassy in the Swiss city for negotiations over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

Iran said that some general agreements had been reached during mediated talks with the United States in Geneva, Switzerland, on Feb. 17.

Following the conclusion of the negotiations, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the two sides “were able to reach a general understanding on a set of guiding principles” and that they would now proceed based on those principles, according to a translation of his Feb. 17 post on Telegram.

“This does not mean that we can reach an agreement quickly, but at least the process has begun. We hope this can be completed as soon as possible and are prepared to devote sufficient time to it. However, when it comes to drafting the text, the work becomes more detailed and complex,” he added, noting that the progress made at this meeting was “good” compared with the last.

No specific timeframe has been set out, Araghchi said, but added, “We now have a clearer picture of what needs to be done and what steps should follow.”

Araghchi also stated that Iran remained “fully prepared to defend itself against any threat or aggressive action” and that the consequences of such action “will not be limited to Iran’s borders.”

He further stated that Iran would continue its negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), saying that the role the United Nations nuclear watchdog could play in Iran–U.S. relations was discussed.

Araghchi met with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi in Geneva on Feb. 16. Grossi said he had “in-depth technical discussions” with Araghchi in preparation for negotiations with the U.S. side.
The U.N. nuclear watchdog had on Jun. 12 declared Iran noncompliant and in breach of its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Iran formally suspended its cooperation with the IAEA following U. S. strikes on the country’s nuclear facilities on June 22, 2025, conducted under the codename Operation Midnight Hammer.

U.S. officials conducted mediated talks in the Omani Embassy in Geneva on Iran’s nuclear program after Iranian representatives earlier met with officials from the Arab state in the same setting.

Oman hosted the first round of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran earlier this month, which concluded without an agreement.

The Epoch Times reached out to the White House for comment but did not receive a response by publication time.

As the talks took place in Geneva, the Islamic Republic held military drills in the Strait of Hormuz.

While diplomacy was the order of the day in Switzerland, the military escalation in the Middle East continued, with Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reporting that parts of the vital oil export route would close for a few hours due to “security precautions” while Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards conduct military drills.

The Islamic Republic has in the past threatened to shut down the strait to commercial shipping if it is attacked, a move that would choke off a fifth of global oil flows and drive up prices.

These drills followed a previous drill on Feb. 16, which the state-affiliated Islamic Republic News Agency said was designed to test Iran’s intelligence and operational capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, and the Gulf of Oman.

This was preceded by U.S. President Donald Trump’s ordering an additional aircraft carrier to the region.

Defiant Ayatollah

The theocracy’s head of state, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, fired off a series of posts on X as the Geneva talks were in progress, targeted at the United States.
“The US President keeps saying that they have the strongest military force in the world,” he wrote on Feb. 17.

“The strongest military force in the world may at times be struck so hard that it cannot get up again.”

Khamenei wrote in a separate post on X: “The Americans constantly say that they’ve sent a warship toward Iran. Of course, a warship is a dangerous piece of military hardware.

“However, more dangerous than that warship is the weapon that can send that warship to the bottom of the sea.”

He went on to say in another post that a sign of the “decline of the corrupt, oppressive US empire is its irrationality, such as interfering in our own country’s internal affairs.”

“They say, ‘Limit your missiles to this range.’ What’s that to do with you?! Without deterrent weaponry, a country will be crushed by the enemy,” Khamenei said, adding that Iran’s nuclear industry was “not for war.”

Khamenei’s posts followed comments from Trump, who said on Feb. 16 that he would be indirectly involved in this second round of nuclear talks.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said the talks are “very important” and that he expects Iran to come into an agreement that would restrain its nuclear weapons program.

“We’ll see what can happen, but typically Iran is a very tough negotiator,” the president said. “I think they want to make a deal. I don’t think they want the consequences of not making a deal.”

Iran Could Use Proxies to Attack US Targets: Report

U.S. and other security officials told The New York Times on Sunday that they are growing increasingly worried Iran could direct proxies to launch retaliatory terrorist attacks against American targets around the world if President Donald Trump launches strikes against Iran.

No specific plan has been detected, but officials told the Times they have noticed heightened chatter indicating some level of attack planning and coordination.

Possible threats include Hezbollah sleeper cells or al-Qaida affiliates attacking American bases or embassies in Europe or launching attacks on Western shipping in the Red Sea, the Times reported.

"Iran can work through proxies to conduct terrorist attacks that will raise costs for any U.S. military campaign," Colin P. Clarke, executive director of the Soufan Center, an intelligence and consulting firm in New York, told the Times.

"If the U.S. military campaign against Iran is existential for the supreme leader and the most senior members of the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps], I would fully expect Tehran to order terror attacks abroad, including in Europe," Clarke added.

Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., also warned of risks in launching an attack against Iran and its regime.

"Military strikes on Iran would risk igniting a wider regional war, endangering American forces across the Middle East and destabilizing global markets in ways that would harm everyday Americans," Reed said in a statement.

"Before any military action is considered, President Trump must come before the American people, explain why any conflict would be necessary, be honest about the risks and costs and present a clear strategy with a defined endgame," Reed, a West Point graduate, added.

Though Iranian proxies such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis have seen their resources dwindle the past year, officials warn they could still pose a significant threat to Americans around the world, the Times reported.

"The Iranian-led global 'axis of resistance' is sharply diminished in areas immediately bordering Israel but is still capable just beyond that reach in places like Iraq and Yemen, and even farther afield where the presence was smaller but still significant," said William F. Wechsler, the senior director of the Atlantic Council's Middle East programs and a former top Pentagon counterterrorism policy official, to the Times.

Counterrterrorism officials have also raised alarms about the possibility of a mass-casualty attack carried out by al-Qaida.

"Al-Qaida's ambition for external operations remained high and may be increasing," a United Nations Security Council counterterrorism assessment reported this month.

US Advises Embassy Staff in Israel to Leave Now If They Want, as Risk of War Hangs Over Middle East

The U.S. Embassy in Israel on Friday told its staff that it could leave the country and urged anyone considering departure to do so immediately, as the threat of an American strike on Iran looms.

U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee told embassy employees in an email that discussions with officials in Washington had led to a decision authorizing departures for those who wished to leave.

The email was recounted to The Associated Press by someone involved with the U.S. mission who wasn't authorized to share details. Sent before 10:30 a.m., it urged staff considering departure to do so quickly, advising them to to focus initially on getting any flight out of Israel and to then make their way to Washington.

"Those wishing to take AD should do so TODAY," Huckabee wrote, using an acronym for "authorized departure."

"While there may be outbound flights over the coming days, there may not be," he added.

Huckabee said that there was no need for panic, but for those desiring to leave, it was important to make plans soon.

The email came a day after Iran and the United States walked away from nuclear negotiations without a deal. Airlines such as Netherlands-based KLM have already announced plans to suspend flights out of Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, and other embassies have also made plans for authorized departures from Israel and neighboring countries.

Australia on Wednesday "directed the departure of all dependents of Australian officials posted to Israel in response to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East." India and several European countries with missions in Iran advised citizens to avoid travel to the country as well.

On a town hall meeting Friday after the email was sent, Huckabee told staff that he was encouraging airlines to keep flying.

The departure authorizations signal a new level of contingency planning as a massive fleet of U.S. aircraft and warships mass in the Middle East.

Badr al-Busaidi, Oman's foreign minister who is mediating in the negotiations, said that there had been significant progress made on Thursday, though officials from Iran and the United States haven't announced steps forward.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday offered no specifics, but said "what needs to happen has been clearly spelled out from our side."

Rubio to Visit Israel Next Week Amid Iran Tensions

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Israel next week, where he will discuss Iran, the State Department said in a statement on Friday, as the U.S. has assembled a large military force in the region amid rising tensions with Tehran.

The State Department said Rubio would travel to Israel March 2-3. He is also set to discuss other regional priorities, including Lebanon and President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan.

My brothers and sisters, citizens of Israel, just an hour ago, Israel and the United States embarked on an operation to remove the existential threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran.

I thank our great friend, President Donald Trump, for his historic leadership.

For 47 years, the Ayatollahs' regime has chanted "Death to Israel," "Death to America." It has spilled our blood, murdered many Americans, and massacred its own people.

This murderous terrorist regime must not be allowed to arm itself with nuclear weapons that would enable it to threaten all of humanity.

Our joint operation will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands.

The time has come for all parts of the Iranian people—the Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Baloch, and Ahwazis—to cast off the yoke of tyranny and bring freedom and peace-loving values to Iran.

I call on you, citizens of Israel, to heed the instructions of the Home Front Command. In the coming days, during Operation "Lion's Roar," we will all be called upon to show patience and strength of spirit.

Together we will stand, together we will fight, and together we will ensure the eternity of Israel.
