Talking about a fantasy, That analogy is stupid. And saying those in Trumps admin. are incompetent like you know something about the workings of his inner circle and know more about critical situations than they do is ridiculous. Us having a major stake in what is going in zuala is way better than having china and russia controlling it. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

US Hits Iran Amid Talks The U.S. launched fresh strikes on Iran, targeting missile sites and boats laying mines, even as Secretary of State Marco Rubio says negotiations to end the war could still take a few more days, with Israel warning the emerging deal is a bad one as it escalates attacks in Lebanon.

This is yet another reminder of how bad and naive a President Jimmy Carter was. Yes, the Shah was a bad guy. But there can be worse. I still remember those almost 20% mortgage interest rates too. Much of the middle east has changed since 1979 and mostly for the better. What hasn't is the insecurities caused by terrorism and that's almost all due to Iran. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

Why is Junior Khamenei still in one piece and barking like a chihuahua? It’s time to quit talking to these lunatics and make them a country of sheep herders again.

Besides taking Lil Khamenei out, we need to take out everyone who made the deal and renege the next day. If the new team pulls the same crap, kill them all too. Rince and repeat until they welcome us in with red carpet to remove all their uranium. Oh and take out their spokeshole for good measure.

Iranian Leader Calls For Muslim Unity, Says 'Death To America' Will Become Common Slogan Authored by Tom Ozimek via The Epoch Times, Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message on May 26 calling for greater unity across the Muslim world against the United States and Israel, saying that the chants “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” will become the rallying slogans of Muslims and “the oppressed of the world.” Khamenei’s message was to mark Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage. In it, Khamenei described a historic struggle against U.S. and Israeli influence in the Middle East, repeatedly invoking the revolutionary slogan “Allahu Akbar” as the “weapon” that had enabled Iran and its allies to resist outside pressure. He said Iran had succeeded in “making the Zionist regime helpless under its severe blows during the second imposed war” and in delivering “a harsh slap to aggressive America,” while thwarting efforts to force Tehran into submission. The statement also praised what it called the “Resistance Front,” saying Iranian forces and allied fighters in Lebanon had secured “notable victories” against “the two terrorist armies, armed to the teeth by the American-Zionist side.” Khamenei coupled the militant rhetoric with a broader appeal for cooperation among Muslim-majority countries, calling on regional countries to “no longer serve as shields for American bases” while denouncing Israel as a “faltering” regime that was nearing “the final stages of its cursed life.” Fragile Diplomacy Continues Khamenei’s message came as the United States, Israel, and Iran remain locked in a tense standoff following months of fighting that included U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities, Iranian retaliation across the region, and disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Although a ceasefire has largely held, negotiations continue over a proposed memorandum of understanding intended to end hostilities and establish a framework for future talks. U.S. President Donald Trump said on May 25 that negotiations with Tehran were “proceeding nicely” but warned that failure to secure an acceptable agreement could lead to renewed military action. https://www.zerohedge.com/geop...become-common-slogan "Some things are apparent. Instead of bombing the power plants just take out the power transmission system. It’s far more vulnerable and dispersed. The bastards can’t plant women and children at all points of that system. Without power, most communication goes down and most utilities fail. Serious about crackers.

If the media was doing their job they would point out that it was another supposedly typed note from Khomenei. In other words - zero proof that he's actually alive, zero proof the message is from him, and zero proof that he is in control of Iran including the IRGC. It doesn't matter who's in charge. If that's the message they're sending, then it's time to resume the bombing.

Agreed. Their system of governance is not centralized enough to call it a "country", more like a few dozen mob families running the whole state. And with a third of the population supporting that system, my thought would be you will NEVER get to a DEAL that has ANY chance of long term success, even less any semblance to a sea change. I'd also guess that until the surrounding states join in the fray, and since they're not going to, the best option is to turn all of the important targets to dust, then proceed to convert all secondary targets to dust, then finish off the last third while Mossad can start working on the rest. I won't say Trump has a bigger picture in mind for the whole middle east that justifies cancelling the arc light operation, though he probably does, I'm not smart enough to figure it out, since the bad guys in Iran are PEFECTLY and COMPLETELY predictable no matter what you do, so why give everything back to them, better to take out so much that it will be harder to come back. ^^^That is something that crossed my mind day one, by eliminating the government who are you going to make a deal with, especially since everyone said Iran's contingency plan was to decentralize control to provinces.

I wasn't suggesting to make a deal with anyone, since it's not possible to make a collective working deal with thousands and thousands of bad guys. So is the next best thing to destroy everything that could be used by those bad guys to rebuild, so that instead of rebuilding nukes and missiles in three years, set them back much more, to give more time for the OTHER 2/3 of the population to decide if they'd like to keep working for the bad guys, or to think it could be better to live in a different way that doesn't include killing everyone who's not exactly like yourself...
