I have long believed that if there is a POW medal for honorable conduct while in enemy captivity, there should be something similar for avoiding or escaping from captivity in a situation like that: some sort of E&E medal. Years ago a co-worker told me about a situation in Korea when he was captured, but then he and a few others managed to escape and get back to friendly lines. Then there was Captain Scott O’Grady who avoided capture by Bosnian Serb forces for six days after being shot down. Just to expound a little: How many "journalists" have been savagely criticizing President Trump about the "lack of planning" that went into this most recent conflict. My question is: where were these assholes during the debacle of Benghazi and then the chaos of the evacuation of Afghanistan? It is reported that President Trump stayed up all night for two nights in a row directing and monitoring the rescue effort. "The right administration in charge" indeed. ... stirred anti-clockwise. | |||
