Had you watched the Sun. AM talking head shows you would have thought Trump was done. I finally had to turn them off. Apparently I'm not the only one thinking that... DJT sure does know how to draw a crowd.

Zen may have just been watching the TV media instead of reading a variety of sources and watching the actual debate. He did seem to get "out there" based on polls and talking points.

He may be an election sanity lesson.

Political winds change directions so very quickly...... I think the only one who could possibly derail this train now is Trump himself. Short of the most amazing gaffe in political history, all signs suggest an amazing turnout on election day. The sheer numbers will make it really tough for the Dems to introduce enough fraudulent ballots to offset Trump's support. I honestly think this will be an easy EC win for Trump and it will result in an upheaval in American politics, and in how the public interacts with and uses the media, unlike anything we've seen in our lifetime.

It's long overdue.

I guess I missed Pence's convention speech, but I attended one of his speeches more than a year ago and I thought he was extremely poised, highly intelligent and very effective at that time. He seems the same to me.

The team is getting better because they are learning from each other. Adjusting while moving forward is a mark of successful people.

I can't help but credit Trump for adding a little more spine to others who were being hemmed by PC. The Dems were trying to control the bounds of what one could say to create a lexicon where being conservative is by definition unacceptably hateful.

Info line in his posts say he is from Oregon. A lot of confused people in the Upper Northwest. He is likely just a product of his environment, being bombarded daily by the leftist propaganda. Could probably think more clearly in a better part of the country.

I just think it's so touching that a leftst is so very concerned abut what we have done to the Republican Party, and about the candidate voters chose.

That's so sweet, isn't it? Big Grin

That may be. He just strikes me as having a little more verve of late. If you have watched him carefully, I bow to your impression. I just remember so many Republicans being hamstrung by the PC fences. It seemed as though Romney was backed off, Ryan was a self-checking punching bag and so many others were being hobbled while the Dems called for apologies galore. When in a fight, let your hands go. Wink Pence just seems to be doing more of that - to me.

I've seen Pence several times, both on camera and in person. He comes from a radio talk-show host background but was never really comfortable speaking in front of faces staring back at him. He is getting much better at it and, as he does, his political star is rising faster than anyone else in politics. Regardless of what happens next month, Pence will have a bright future.

He being a relatively young man, Pence has struck me as an excellent choice by Trump. When he was selected, it was really the first time I described Trump as a potential statesman, not just a brawler for the moment.

His selection showed, to me, that Trump can think about affecting our country in succeeding years of strong leadership.

I always thought that if Pence could pick up how to command a larger presence, his intellect and successful governmental experience could give him quite a future.

But, to tame the Washington beast, Trump is the kind of armored example he needs to see and experience as Trump keeps kicking over the bounds. For Pence to see this and be part of that from a Trump administration will be invaluable.

Before too long, I'm going to ask something of active board members, if Trump loses.

We're going tio be talking about conduct in the forum in the wake of a Clinton victory.

We're not going to discuss it at the moment, but I want you guys to try to imagine what this place will be like on November 9th if Clinton wins. Try to imagine the attitude in the forum.

We'll talk about this before too long.

I don't know who is going to win. No one does at this point, no matter what they say. What I do know is that I'm in this forum every day.

correction....he lists he's from "PDX" otherwise known as Portland....which has become a surrogate hell hole of leftist socialist twits who have abandoned their previous rat warren and have fled to somewhere that would put up with them.

30++ years ago it was a marvelous town, before the influx of the clueless who in their inflated numbers, along with Eugene, Salem and Ashland, now drag the rest of the largely rural state along with them into their version of progressive paradise.

The REAL Oregon is the 80% between Idaho/Cascade mountains, and from Cali/Nevada border north to Columbia River....along with some of the coastal areas that have managed to resist, repel or reeducate the invasion forces of ignorant socialist befouling the legislative process so badly it's a wonder their own EPA hasn't stepped in to control the effluvia.

That is when I began to think of El Diablo as a candidate to be taken seriously as a potential President, when he picked Dick Cheney.

The responsibilities of the President are sufficient to require being able to recognise and select the most talented people and command their loyalty and support. Some disparaged Dick Cheney, but he was one of the most experienced, successful officials of proven ability of our time. That pick sure paid off.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

A refreshing article from across the pond from Piers Morgan, of all people...

The night Bill Clinton and his loose zipper let Trump dodge the bullet that should have killed his campaign for good - and then walk all over Hillary

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...od-walk-Hillary.html

Wow. I don’t think I’m overstating things when I say that last night’s debate was the most sickeningly squalid spectacle in the history of US politics. To see the remaining two candidates for the presidency trading blows about sexual assault and rape was so unedifying it defies any parody Saturday Night Live might ever come up. Who won? Most polls so far say Hillary Clinton.

But I think Donald Trump did, simply because he was still standing by the end – physically and metaphorically. Sunday night's debate was the most sickeningly squalid spectacle in the history of US politics, but I think Trump won Sunday night's debate was the most sickeningly squalid spectacle in the history of US politics, but I think Trump won Many predicted this would be Trump’s televised 90-minute political funeral following the leak of those indefensible Access Hollywood sex-charged tapes. The fact that he lived to fight another day says a lot about Teflon Don’s astonishing resilience under fire and his impenetrably shameless rhino hide. But it also says a lot about Hillary Clinton’s essential weakness too. This should have been the night she landed the White House.

After years of telling us she was the No1 candidate for women, she was handed a gold-plated gift enabling her to prove it once and for all. There was Trump, the man she’s always accused of being a sexist, misogynist creep, actually caught on camera being a sexist, misogynist creep. Worse than that, Trump appeared to be openly boasting about using his celebrity status to commit sexual assaults on women.

Many predicted the Access Hollywood sex-charged tapes would be the end of Trump. There was Trump, the man Hillary has accused of being a sexist, misogynist creep, actually caught on camera being a sexist, misogynist creep Many predicted the Access Hollywood sex-charged tapes would be the end of Trump. There was Trump, the man Hillary has accused of being a sexist, misogynist creep, actually caught on camera being a sexist, misogynist creep ‘I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women,’ he told NBC presenter Billy Bush.

‘I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything.. Grab them by the p***y. You can do anything.’ It’s hard to imagine any ‘October surprise’ that could possibly suit Hillary’s agenda more than this. All she had to do was stand on that podium last night and read out exactly what Trump said about women. Then repeat it a few more times during the debate to ram his own repellent words down his throat. No male presidential candidate could possibly withstand such an excruciating barrage from a female candidate.

Virtually every woman in America would have been cheering her on as Trump wilted and withered on a stage of shame. The Donald would have been damned by his own dirty diction in front of 100 million people. The trickle of Republican figures disowning him would have turned into a tsunami. Would even his VP pick Mike Pence have stood by him? In which case it would have been game over, surely?

But when the moment came, Hillary blew it. She tried to go there, of course. Virtually every woman in America would have been cheering Hillary on as Trump wilted and withered on a stage of shame for what he had said. But when the moment came, Hillary blew it Virtually every woman in America would have been cheering Hillary on as Trump wilted and withered on a stage of shame for what he had said. But when the moment came, Hillary blew it Hillary blew it - and the huge problem was sitting just a few yards away - husband Bill Hillary blew it - and the huge problem was sitting just a few yards away - husband Bill Yet there was one huge problem: her husband Bill, sitting just a few yards away in the front row.

The world knows him as a brilliant politician, but also as a serial seducer of epic proportions who, while he was President of the United States, even had sexual relations with a young intern in the Oval Office. In comparison to Bill, many view Trump as a choirboy when it comes to women. Earlier last night, Trump hosted a press event with four women: Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and Kathy Shelton. Broaddrick claimed Bill Clinton raped her when he was Arkansas attorney general, and that Hillary intimidated her into silence when her husband launched his own bid to be president. Willey was a former White House volunteer aide who alleges Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her during his first term as president. Jones is a former Arkansas state employee who sued Bill Clinton for sexual harassment. Shelton was a 12-year-old rape victim whose attacker was defended by Hillary Clinton in her lawyer days.

A tape later emerged showing Hillary chuckling when talking about the case and suggesting she knew her client was guilty. She used a legal technicality to get him a substantially reduced sentence. It was a prurient, distasteful and thoroughly self-serving stunt by Trump to sit among these women in front of the world’s media shortly before the debate started. Here he is with, from right, Paula Jones, Kathy Shelton, Juanita Broaddrick, and Kathleen Willey Sunday afternoon It was a prurient, distasteful and thoroughly self-serving stunt by Trump to sit among these women in front of the world’s media shortly before the debate started.

Here he is with, from right, Paula Jones, Kathy Shelton, Juanita Broaddrick, and Kathleen Willey Sunday afternoon Trump with Bill Clinton's accusers of sex abuse before debate And then take them to the actual debate itself and sit them right in the front row, feet away from Hillary. It also proved to be an extremely effective. When Hillary went after Trump for his sex tapes, he instantly flew back at her about these women And then take them to the actual debate itself and sit them right in the front row, feet away from Hillary.

It also proved to be an extremely effective. When Hillary went after Trump for his sex tapes, he instantly flew back at her about these women It was a prurient, distasteful and thoroughly self-serving stunt by Trump to sit among these women in front of the world’s media shortly before the debate started. And then take them to the actual debate itself and sit them right in the front row, feet away from Hillary. It also proved to be an extremely effective form of ugly politics. Hillary knew they were there. So did Bill. And so did the world. One Democrat compared it to the scene in Godfather II where Michael Corleone flies in the brother of family super-grass Frank Pentangeli to sit in the Senate committee room as a chilling silent reminder of the mafia code of omertà. When Hillary went after Trump for his sex tapes, he instantly flew back at her about these women.

‘If you look at Bill Clinton, far worse,’ Trump jabbed. ‘Mine were words, his were actions. Bill Clinton was abusive to women, Hillary Clinton attacked those women, attacked them viciously.’ It was devastatingly brutal to watch, but as he doubtless hoped it would, it stopped the sex tape debate in its tracks. Hillary had nowhere to go but meek retreat. ‘I’m reminded,’ she said, ‘of what my friend Michelle Obama advised us all: When they go low, you go high.’

When Hillary went after Trump for his sex tapes, he instantly flew back at her about these women. ‘If you look at Bill Clinton, far worse,’ Trump jabbed. ‘Mine were words, his were actions. Hillary had nowhere to go but meek retreat When Hillary went after Trump for his sex tapes, he instantly flew back at her about these women. ‘If you look at Bill Clinton, far worse,’ Trump jabbed. ‘Mine were words, his were actions. Hillary had nowhere to go but meek retreat Hmmm.

I’m not so sure about that, Mrs Clinton. I think the world’s women were more of the ‘when they go THIS low, deliver the fatal blow’ mind-set. But she couldn’t and Trump knew it. Emboldened by this knowledge, you could see his confidence levels rise for the rest of the debate as he scored valuable points against her over issues like emails, Benghazi, Obamacare and Iraq. Hillary held her own but she was nowhere near as comfortable or dominant as she was in the first debate. By the end, it was clear that Trump had won the real battle.

Far from being finished, he had sent a firm message to his supporters and indeed to those in the Republican Party itching to ditch him, that he is still alive and kicking in this race. Second presidential debate begins WITHOUT a handshake Hillary even shook his hand at the end, having declined to do so at the start. She may as well have waved a white towel of defeat Hillary even shook his hand at the end, having declined to do so at the start.

She may as well have waved a white towel of defeat Hillary even shook his hand at the end, having declined to do so at the start. She may as well have waved a white towel. As for what happens next, who the hell knows? The truth about this extraordinary election is that nobody really has a clue what will happen in the next 24 hours, let alone 29 days. Perhaps America’s self-styled ‘smart crowd’ among the Washington, New York and Hollywood elite are right and Hillary will walk it. Or perhaps what we’re seeing is an almost exact replica of what happened in the UK with the EU Referendum back in June. The ‘Remain’ camp, led by Prime Minister David Cameron, was cock-sure certain Britain would vote to stay in Europe. That was the only ‘intelligent, logical’ result, surely?

(Full disclosure: I voted Remain) Especially given he and his team had assured us for months that the Brexit side, led by Trump’s new No1 cheerleader, UKIP leader Nigel Farage, was full of supposedly racist, sexist, homophobic Neanderthals. Well, we didn’t. In fact 17 million Brits voted to leave Europe, leaving the ‘smart crowd’ looking woefully arrogant, out-of-touch and complacent. Donald Trump, Hillary’s supporters insist, is a disgusting, bigoted, women-hating, Hitler-esque monster who couldn’t possibly be elected president, but that’s not what vast swathes of Middle America think Donald Trump, Hillary’s supporters insist, is a disgusting, bigoted, women-hating, Hitler-esque monster who couldn’t possibly be elected president, but that’s not what vast swathes of Middle America think I smell the same whiffs of sanctimonious superiority pervading the Clinton camp in this US election campaign.

Trump, Hillary’s supporters insist, is a disgusting, bigoted, women-hating, Hitler-esque monster who couldn’t possibly be elected president. The problem is that’s not what vast swathes of Middle America actually think. They still see Trump as their billionaire Robin Hood, albeit with rather more personal flaws. And they loathe Hillary because to them, she’s the walking, breathing, smirking personification of the very Establishment they believe is conspiring to wreck their lives. They are also, as we’ve seen from the reaction to last night’s debate, well aware that when it comes to defending the rights of women against sexist, misogynist creeps, it’s probably best not to be called Clinton.

one of the things that concerns me about election night is not only the expected voter fraud by the dems but also collusion with the media to skew the results by selectively reporting Hillary Clinton results with some spin, or even prematurely calling the election before the polls have closed

The media is all in on this and its obvious that they will stop at absolutely nothing to continue to spin the process as if they're the group that should determine whom the next president should be
