running transcript of Trump's speech today http://time.com/4309786/read-d...reign-policy-speech/ It’s time to shake the rust off America’s foreign policy. It’s time to invite new voices and new visions into the fold, something we have to do. The direction I will outline today will also return us to a timeless principle. My foreign policy will always put the interests of the American people and American security above all else. That will be the foundation of every single decision that I will make. We have a lot to be proud of. In the 1940s we saved the world. The greatest generation beat back the Nazis and Japanese imperialists. Then we saved the world again. This time, from totalitarianism and communism. The Cold War lasted for decades but, guess what, we won and we won big. Democrats and Republicans working together got Mr. Gorbachev to heed the words of President Reagan, our great president, when he said, tear down this wall. .... ********************* nice to hear truth again adding: video of speech at http://www.breitbart.com/video...eech-washington-d-c/

Last night was expected and I have no idea what will happen in Indiana next week, but this race isn't going to end until California. If he announces Carly as his VP choice today that will help him there, so we all just have to wait and see what happens.

He should drop out, and so should that fucking idiot Kasich, but neither one will do the right thing.

(Sorry, it's difficult to reply promptly when I'm home alone with a newborn, crying baby who's hungry with a dirty diaper.) Ok, I should've checked the link before calling out the author. However, I disagree with some of the arguments he's making. First off, he boasts about Trump being the Republican front runner in some of the more liberal States. It strikes me as odd as something to necessarily be proud of. He pushes the narrative that Trump is a centrist. Is he? Is that what his supporters want? I don't. He blames Bush for the problems in the middle East. "He clearly lays out a middle course in which the United States will negotiate any disagreements with China and Russia from a position of military and diplomatic strength...." Sorry, but I found that to be reaching. What exactly is clear about his policy? He talks about the "New Donald Trump," even as Trump said last night that he isn't changing at all. It sounds more like a hope that Trump changes, and I'm assuming the means the New Donald Trump will be more Presidential. " Cruz robbed Kasich of his ethical virginity by ceding to him two states of no current importance, makes Donald Trump the only respectable candidate." Cruz did what now? And Trump is the only respectable candidate? And Cruz is unfit for the office he seeks? That's simply laughable to me, more than anything else said in that article. I suppose he wants to make the case that Trump is the only possible person alive right now who can lead our nation. Anyway, it's a case for Trump, I get it. I found some of the claims, though, to be needlessly reaching in some cases and utter wishful thinking in others. Other than that, I suppose it's not so stupid. Particularly the parts about the Democrats. And he seems to be right about Kasich. Honestly, at this point, I'm ready for Donald to get the nomination so we can all just move on from this primary nonsense and get back on the same team. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

I think Cruz is looking at last night as it was expected and Trump is still facing the same possible numbers problems he was a week ago depending on how Indiana and California go. The race has gone on this long, so letting it go another few weeks so voters in Oregon, Montana, Washington, Indiana, California, and the other states can have their voices heard isn't a big deal in my opinion. If Trump is getting the momentum it will only add strength to his campaign. I'd respect Trump for playing it out and winning it on the field with someone standing against him.

But I gotta say, Ackks, even though I think Cruz would make the better President, if Trump is within 100 delegates of 1,237 come the convention (which seems likely even if he doesn't win Indiana, right? Or no?), I wouldn't feel good about him getting the nomination over Trump. I know rules are rules, but...ugh, just make it stop. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Some good news for Trump from PA http://abcnews.go.com/Politics...ia/story?id=38695683 Donald Trump has won a vast majority of the unbound delegate count in the state of Pennsylvania, according to an ABC News analysis. Of the 54 available free-agent delegates in the state, 39 of them told ABC News they will support Trump on the first ballot of the Republican convention. Twenty-three said they will support the Republican front-runner, while 16 additional delegates -- who said they would vote for the winner of their congressional district on the first ballot -- will also back Trump. Only two delegates said they plan to vote for Cruz on the first ballot. Seven others ran as uncommitted. While Trump won a resounding victory in Pennsylvania's popular vote Tuesday night, it was not assured that he would walk away with all of the state's 71 delegate votes because of the state's unusual delegation selection process. Only 17 of the state's delegates are bound to vote for Trump on the first ballot, while voters directly elected the other 54 — three from each of the state's 18 congressional districts – to act as free agents at the convention.

Agree. I've said for a while if he is within 100 or so he'll get it. GOP super delegates and unbound delegates will put him over the top. If Cruz wins Indiana or loses Indiana, but does really well in California Trump could be short of that number. That's why Cruz is going to play it out for another few weeks and see where the numbers add up.

Soo the Kasich divorce is final, Cruz to announce Carly Fiorina as his running mate today... http://www.foxnews.com/

Let me help you with that. Trump will beat Cruz handily. Trump will crush Cruz in California. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. Interesting enough the "expected" comment was hashed out on Fox last night, yes it's Trumps home area, but in NO WAY was it "expected" that he'd run the tables, all 5 states, 100% of the counties in all 5 states, conservative and women vote in all 5 states. First it was "hes a joke, not serious", then it was, he can "only get 35% of the vote", then it was he can't "get to 50%", interesting in all of the states he was well over 60% and the one he was not, Trump had 58%. Now that it's down to three, the votes are not spread out over 17 people getting the higher numbers is achievable. Cruz "expected" to get some delegates, he got his ass whipped, barely over 10% in some of the states. Bloviate on "expected" all they want it was a general ass whipping. IIRC Carly got her ass handed to her in CA during her campaign for Senate, the alliance is one of desperation on the Cruz campaign not unlike the sign of weakness by trying to join forces with Kasich... My take on it is that voters are tired of the crap in DC and they are done with the debate, negative ads and contested convention bullshit. The decision is being made that it's time for Trump and there is no numerical way for Cruz to be nominated without a contest. We don't need the contested convention, we need to move one, and voters sense this, no reason to toss your bet on a horse with no chance. Get on board the winning team, Americans like winners. It's going to side to trump even more so.

I believe in the principle of Due Process |
That isn't it. Cruz will fold this afternoon. I saw at HEB just now a photo of his dad with Lee Harvey Oswald. Ted is linked to the Kennedy Assassination. It's in the National Inquirer, run by one of Trump's mouthpieces. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Gingrich to GOP: Trump's Winning, 'Get Over It' Donald Trump has the momentum to carry him to the Republican presidential nomination, and talk of a contested convention is just a waste of time, says former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. "Now, what's the contest?" Gingrich asked. "He won. And the challenge then for the Republican establishment is to get over it." Gingrich said he can't figure out what the Washington establishment and the news media expects to change in coming primaries. "Why do you think California, where Trump is ahead by at least 18 points, what is it that's going to suddenly go sour for Trump?" he said. "What is it that's going to go sour for him in Indiana? Trump is "almost certainly going to have an absolute majority of the delegates before you get to the convention in Cleveland," Gingrich said. ************************************************* NRA Life Member Capital punishment means never having to say, "You again?"
