Watching the videos I had a moment when they exchanged salutes where I had a feeling of pride in our country, along with a feeling of hope and optimism for our country. The pride has been there, the hope and optimism was not common recently prior to November 8th. Then something shocking happened, something that almost made me feel some sympathy for the GDCs losing their mind these days. I suddenly thought, "What if that were Bill Clinton's wife and her husband getting off that plane?" I immediately felt physically ill and thought I was going to puke. It was only focusing on the video and the fact that that disastrous nightmare didn't happen that saved me. I can understand how the GDCs feel unsettled, but they are wrong and this is the way forward for our wonderful county. God Bless America! God bless our 45th president.

I felt the same emotions. Unbelievable pride watching President-Elect Trump step off the aircraft and into the protective hands of the SS.

If that had been Hill and her old man, OMG. That would make me physically ill, I do believe.

God bless you and keep you safe, President-Elect Trump.

Just now. His first ride.

Watching him come down the steps gave me a thrill up my leg Razz

Boeing is probably thrilled that Trump won. If Hillary had won, they'd have had to come up with a four-engine broom in 72 days.

For the first time in a long time I saw what struck me as someone sincerely believable.

I don't know about you guys but I'm so totally disappointed that Meryl Streep is not going to sing during the inauguration festivities.

We're missing this.

Trump has a unique opportunity.

1. He is opposed to a large percentage of obama policies and regulations. We will be seeing 180 deg turns.

2. obama did a lot w/o congressional approval. He actually did a lot in defiance of congress

3. Trump can quickly use the same tactics that obama used, but to undo the last 8 years.

4. Many (most ?) Americans recognize obamacare is an unsustainable disaster

5. Trump has a REP House and Senate. At times I almost think they recognize how much of an asset Trump could be (almost).

6. Trump is a junk yard dog, at a time when that breed is very popular.

7. Trump has decades old characteristics built into him. Things like "get it done, no excuses". Get it done on time and budget. If conditions change, adapt. I learned a lot about Trump from his book The Art of the Deal.

There are a lot of bitter clingers there at the Lincoln Memorial program.

I'm not sure I can watch all this tomorrow.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown
