I feel like a little kid today. Cutting work at 1130 to watch the festivities at a cigar bar. So happy for our republic today. It's gonna be yuuuuge!

It's a beautiful 60 degree morning here in South Florida. I wish I could have got a good picture of it but the sky with its hues of red, white, and blue actually looked like an American flag this morning as the sunrise began, and I was really glad to be able to enjoy that view with my teenage daughters as I drove them to school. Glad I have the day off today to fully enjoy the historic moment and enjoy the coverage, fun, festivities, and even some firearms. Kicking it all off with some Chick-fil-A breakfast. Big Grin

God Bless America!

Just a few hours until the end of an error!

And, unfortunately, the end of this thread.

So I'll indulge in an IBTL for posterity while looking forward to the TRUMP PRESIDENCY thread. Smile

I am watching MSNBC they keep calling him president elect Trump. It's going to be like Fonzi trying to say "I'm Sorry" when they have to call him President Trump.

Thank you, Para and everyone, for this wild ride to a wonderful conclusion.

Today, we have been blessed with a new beginning. We have been given a another chance that we must not waste.

Throughout this ordeal, I have prayed and prayed and prayed that we not be forsaken. Now, I find myself praying for *OUR* President and his family that they are safe and well, and that *OUR* President succeeds in all his endeavors to make this country well and great again.

God bless us, everyone. God bless DJT and God bless our country!

Thank you, friends, for this wonderful place to learn and share Smile

What a great brave new beginning for America we embark on today. I look forward with much anticipation. I have a new hope for my children and grandchildren. I know many battles lie ahead for us all. But the sun is shinning very brightly as I type on this new day for our country.

Christmas is coming for the second time is just under a month... or so it feels like to me. Haven't been this excited in a LONG time! Big Grin

I am suppressing my urge to go on FaceCrook and gloat to the whiny libs that have been posting there the past few days about this historic event. I know even reading their drivel will just sour my mood, so I've been avoiding the place altogether the past week... Wink

It's here, ladies and gentlemen. It's finally here. Happy Inauguration Day!! I'm on another forum board for work and one of the things I included in my signature line after Onumb-nutz's second election is the death of the U.S. Constitution, indicating "R.I.P. United States Constitution - 4 MAR 1789 - 6 NOV 2012."

Another quote in that signature is from a great movie, Remember the Titans..."Attitude reflect leadership, Captain". This could not be more true, as I look back on my attitude these last 8 years...8 looooooong years...and realize this country has had ZERO leadership. It's been drifting in a sea that fortunately didn't drown her.

This country damn near lost its history, its liberty, and all the other things that make us a unique and free nation. I shudder when I think how close we really came to losing her. But it's a new day, my friends. A day for reflection and prayer, as a brave man takes the torch of leadership and tries to right the ship that was almost capsized.

So patriots, be steadfast and pray for PRESIDENT Trump and his appointed leaders. Yes...even those across the aisle, for they are lost sheep.....so lost. I'm going to savor these moments, as you never know when you'll lose them, as was ALMOST the case this time around. Thanks for the great times in this thread, Para!!

God BLESS the U.S.A. and President Donald J. Trump!

ETA:
Off to Chick-fil-A to get some spicy chicken biscuits for breakfast. Can't think of a better way or better place to start my celebrations!! Big Grin
