Perhaps I keep missing something here. I keep hearing that the Russians hacked us and influenced the election. I seem to keep missing how. The CIA appears convinced it was the Russians, but I never heard them say exactly WHAT the Russians did. Did they change votes? Did they inflate votes for Trump? Did they delete votes for Clinton? Did they send subliminal messages to people through their PC telling them to vote Trump? Or did they simply do what the FBI was incapable of? OR... was it really just Wikileaks and some smart people? I think they're being purposefully vague so the uninformed think they hacked the voting machines. I believe it's the DNC and Pedestal email theft \ disclosure via WikiLeaks. They never questioned the accuracy of the emails, never proven they were altered. ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.

Even before the election when WikiLeaks was releasing emails there was always this Millennial attitude of: "Oh you were hacked?" [ like when they're Twitter or Facebook gets hacked] "OK then you're not responsible for it." No, it doesn't mean they logged onto to your account and wrote those things! On a separate note, I am so grateful to this thread for keeping everything organized in one place and giving me perspective of Americans all over this great country.

I've tried hard to figure out the basic "Russians influenced the election for Trump" issue too. As best I can tell, there is no evidence of Russian hacking of voting machines or vote counting. 1. The whole argument appears to be that the Wikileaks release of 30,000 DNC and Podesta emails all reflect badly on DEMs and the DEM candidate. 2. There was little to no Wikileak release of RNC or Trump campaign emails. 3. It is "said" that the Russians hacked the emails and gave them to Wikileaks. And that's it . That is all there is to the argument. Of course we have lots of talk about "17 U.S. intel agencies" all agreeing that Russia influenced the election. Until we hear more, that sounds like nonsense. This smells pretty bad, like much of what has come out of federal agencies under the obama administration. obama said we were all hung up on what the emails said but ignoring the Russian interference. I was glad to see the Wikileaks emails. Not one of them has been shown to be fake. Assange has said the Russians were not the source. This is where obama has led us: Assange seems more trust worthy than our present "president".
