I'm sure it's all purely "coincidental" that this was announced after the election of the individual who was pro-military, knowing that the incoming Administration would not overturn that directive. Yup, just purely coincidental. --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! There are still 2 million votes to count (mostly in CA I think). Trump has set the record for most votes for a Republican candidate : 62,041,367 and counting. Obama has the overall record from 2008 at 69 million (go figure) http://townhall.com/tipsheet/l...l-candidate-n2249321

Last night, Don Lemon's show on CNN. Off-the-wall hate and a meltdown. "Slow Lerner's" is really giving them way too much credit, assuming they have any chance to ever get it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znJNC3aFVtc This was mind blowing to watch -it devolved into calling Trump a monster, evil, end of the world, we need to take a hard look at changing the entire way elections are run. We need to reform the Electoral College, calling on all the intelligent ones to start a revolution (with what?). What a bunch of pretentious pricks - yet, its a masterpiece; Its so amazing to watch how they still don't get it. Pre-election, this would have gotten my BP way high. But the world is so much sweeter while watching this today. Its great to sit back, enjoy with your favorite beverage, and remember to breathe. We have turned a corner with a real President. Every day the relief and pride is returning to this Country. God Bless us. Thank you Mr. President Elect.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.....WCklb6YG_LB.twitter How the Democrats lost the white working class The author looks at the area defined as Appalachia, which stretches from the industrial North, through the Rust Belt, down into the Deep South It's been a decade since they offered voters moderate Democratic candidates. Since then white, traditional-values, working-class, predominantly male voters have been severed from their party so they could build an urban- and cosmopolitan-centered coalition of minorities, elites and women. "There are 490 counties in Appalachia technically, which is defined by federal law. Hillary Clinton won 21 counties in that region" She did not win a single county in Appalachia that is mostly white, non-college-educated and has a population of under 100,000 people. Looking at the map, the 21 counties she won were either college campuses like Virginia Tech, Cornell, Penn State and Mississippi State or counties in major metropolitan areas like Atlanta, Birmingham, Ala., Winston-Salem, N.C., Youngstown, Ohio, and Pittsburgh. And she also won five counties in Mississippi that are nearly majority black. What does all of this data tell you about America? Todd says it is simple, "There are absolutely no more blue-collar whites in the Democratic Party. They just don't exist, even the ones who want there to be have recognized there is no room for them," he said. For now, the Democrats have lost the very base of support that sprang from both the Jacksonian era and was reinforced by the New Deal Era of FDR. Can they rebuild? Sure. But do they want to? That part is unclear. If they continue to double down on elitism, it is unlikely. And it is certainly unlikely if they continue to make Republican voters appear as though the candidate they voted for requires children to seek a therapist. ******************************** If Trump can improve conditions for the middle class, he may consolidate a new voter coalition that is truly a mix of America. Some significant percentage of blacks and Hispanics may also see there is a much better path to a stronger, more prosperous, America than the Democrat tactics of weakness, economic disaster, and division.

The Dems are not based on elitism. They lost their support because people have begun to realize the they are a bunch of socialists taking us into a socialist hellhole. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

With leftist pet issues such as weakness in foreign policy, the avoidance of terms such as Islamic terrorism, ignoring a growth economy and jobs, yet concentrating on transgender bathrooms and other pajama boy issues, the continued support of Obamacare, etc., the Democrats alienated a good chunk of America who were simply just tired of their shit. They had enough. And this is why you hear all this hand wringing from the GDC's about getting rid of the Electoral College. I heard a guy talking about this and he said without it, all you had to do to win was to carry the top 27 metropolitan areas. Areas which, at this time at least, the GDC's have a lock on. If you could carry those with the current sizeable majorities the GDC's currently enjoy, they'd have no reason to even bother campaigning anywhere else. Some of which they currently don't even have to campaign in to carry. So they could campaign by just flying into the airport, taking a 5 minute limo ride, then giving a talk at a rally, then back to the airport and on to the next city. It literally would turn the vast majority of the country into "flyover country". The Founders were wise to give us a system to preclude that. _______________________ “The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. The Left Traps Itself In Hate Speech As when Marie Antoinette witnessed the thought-killing aspects of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity turn on itself, the modern left’s “hate speech” efforts will inevitably stop suppressing opposing ideas because it will find itself at the point of its own spear. The French purging started with targeting Aristocrats, but finding fewer heads to lop, French enforcers started turning on themselves, lopping off the heads of those merely accused of having aristocratic ideas. That definition was so loose that they finally realized that it could include almost everyone, including the revolutionaries themselves – and ultimately did. Today, there is no intellectual clarity as to just what constitutes “hate speech.” The phrase is boundless and subjective. It is essentially a way to justify a witch hunt. It creates trial by ordeal. Once accused, you are ultimately off to the cultural guillotine. 40,000 people, even French revolutionaries, suffered at the hands of an idea that could not control or define itself either. In modern “hate speech” labeling, there is also no meaningful way to know whether any given person should be targeted. Modern social justice warriors just assert someone is a hater. Then, the mindless piling-on kicks in. Citizens are getting kicked out of college, losing jobs and suffering relentless browbeating. Even today, we saw that a “newsman,” CNN’s Jake Tapper, felt compelled to apologize for his staff running a screen crawler that said what was allegedly said by the subject of a report; namely, whether “Jews are people.” I doubt that some member of the public would say, “Yea. I wonder that too.” In essence, Tapper said that the CNN crawler was hate speech and repeating the statement, that CNN said was in the news mind you, was also hate speech rather than mere facts in the news. Maybe the vaunted CNN should just report next time that someone said a naughty. It doesn’t help that the crawler may have been a misquote anyway. But, it seems that the left has come to the point where actually reporting the words it alleges were said must be purged from public consideration. How is that a free press that informs the public? The underlying premise is that citizens are not capable of handling the truth about what someone says anymore. It is all part of an intellectual cowardice that has seeped from Europe into our own universities, media and Democrat party. Before Brexit, people and publishers were arrested for talking about immigrant impacts in Britain. Germany also arrested reporters of the truth - not evil doers, but merely people bringing what they saw as atrocities to the public’s attention. Brexit’s incoming PM, Theresa May, even said, “Britain should withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights . . ..” The Convention itself provides only limited free speech, leaving hate speech rules to run rampant because free speech at Article 10(2), provides that , “ [t]he exercise of these freedoms. . . . may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law . . .. ” Finding simpatico with “hate speech” enforcer, Merkel under the ECHR, it is no wonder that Obama recently announced, from Germany no less, that certain websites and ideas should be censored in the United States. Obama, like Merkel, advocates a strong hand to grab free speech by the throat to suffocate what government wishes to suppress. The left, as exemplified by Obama, is trying to borrow from a European tradition that is not our own. It is no wonder that our ever-centralized education system abandoned teaching about our history, ironically turning our own children into American haters in the name of ending hate. Replacing true patriotic learning with self-hate has been corrosively destructive as evidenced by our country’s kids even wanting to join ISIS. The American answer to disagreeable speech has always been to educate and prepare the public for discerning what is unacceptable while supporting their right to speak out. The lefts’ paternalism in cynically believing that an educated public is incapable of reason and judgment, is elitist - something else rejected in the most recent election. Contrary to the German/European model, our founders recognized that free speech must be robust. The First Amendment protected us from government censorship. Speech, free from hate speech regulation, was even part of what we signed onto in the American Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. The First Article provides that “ [f]reedom of expression in all its forms and manifestations is a fundamental and inalienable right of all individuals. Additionally, it is an indispensable requirement for the very existence of a democratic society. ” Years ago, John Kerry’s campaign for President invited voters to join him in an act of Hari-Kerry. At the time, his medal-throwing rejection of our country crept its way to the core of the Democrat party. Kerry’s philosophy embodied the conclusion that the only honorable thing for the United States to do is cultural seppuku, at least in part. Kill your preeminent power. Kill your preeminent influence. Kill your vision as a city set on a hill. Reparate, prostrate and subjugate yourselves as penance for believing that nationalism is something good. Flag burning was taken mainstream. Obama learned at the knee of Rev. Wright to see America as an evil force. “God damn America” became the left’s internal mantra. Obama’s wife said that she was for the first time proud of the United States when it chose him to lead the domestic and foreign dismantling program. This shift to lowering the United States even earned Obama a Nobel Peace Prize before he did a thing. Because Obama seemingly promised to drop the United States from international leadership, the heel-nippers were ecstatic. Hari-Kerry was institutionalized. In schools, Americans were taught that being white was racist but challenging that idea was hate speech. To be black was to be oppressed. To challenge that idea was hate speech. Indeed, challenging nutty assertions about women, Muslims, gays, Democrats and so many pet groups was also labeled hate speech. Hillary ran, saying that she would work to change our free speech laws. Between her and Obama, the notion that government power should muzzle free speech while the left arrogated to itself the exclusive right to define hate speech was soundly rejected in this election. The answer to noxious speech in all but our recent left leaders has been robust counter speech. Historically, we went through phases of suppressing 1) dangerous speech, to 2) speech that presented a clear and present danger to 3) now only speech that advocates immediate lawless violence. To the left, that needs to change. Not only was and is the left threatening to use government to squash free speech, the left is using private means to eliminate speech altogether. Facebook, Twitter, AppNexus, universities and so many other private apparatuses censor speech, summarily removing what they subjectively want to suppress by labeling it “hate.” Like the accusing business people who killed off their rivals in the French Revolution, the left wants to use hate speech rules to kill off the open competition of ideas. Such forces threaten speech and deny us a necessary societal safety valve and a means to do what to the left is unthinkable: equal interaction between truly opposing views. “Safe spaces” are the left’s effort to intolerantly stunt our society under the transparent cover of an emaciated view of tolerance. Why does the left need to attack the idea that citizens gain from an open exchange of ideas? It seems to me that the danger of suppression is greater than the benefit of unimpeded discussion. But, like many failed leftist radio and television channels, left ideology can’t seem to win and gain enthusiastic support on the merit of ideas. History has shown, that the left seeks to put its thumb on the scale in the competition of ideas. Whether it is NPR, the electoral college, or goodie promises, the left has utterly failed to tell voters why leftist ideas are better. We do not see those issues in debates. Instead, we hear about who grabbed what or who didn’t denounce a group fast enough – the less crucial issues being used to hide the ultimately essential. This year, voters made it clear that a brash, non-politically correct, common sense leader could bring us back from the brink. And so, we are seeing a President-elect who badgers ahead, ignoring the left-imposed speech conventions that label phrases like “America is the Land of Opportunity” a bigoted micro aggression. “Make America Great Again” is not just a rejection of the lefts’ national self-loathing and speech control; it is a call to reacquire our role in bringing freedom to ourselves and the world. To that end, robust and unimpeded free speech should forever unapologetically pound “hate speech” back into the safe space from which it sprang. _______________________________ NRA Life Member NRA Certified Range Safety Officer

A reminder of how terrible Obama was from the very beginning: Obama put his appointee in charge of NASA. In 2010 NASA administrator Charles Bolden spoke about his new priorities: “When I became the NASA administrator, (President Obama) charged me with three things. One, he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math; he wanted me to expand our international relationships; and third, and perhaps foremost , he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math and engineering.” Now today we have NASA’s top climate scientist Gavin Schmidt: “The point is simple: the climate is changing and you can try to deny it, you can appoint people who don’t care about it into positions of power, but regardless nature has the last vote on this.” “Government science and things generally go on regardless of the political views of the people at the top,” Dr Schmidt said. “The issue would be if you were being asked to skew your results in any way or asked not to talk about your results. Those would be much more serious issues.” one problem: skewing the data is what Schmidt has been doing. Last year a German professor Dr. Friedrich Karl Ewert – a retired geologist and data computation expert – accused NASA GISS of having tampered with the raw data so extensively that it had effectively “invented” global warming. "He has painstakingly examined and tabulated all NASA GISS’s temperature data series, taken from 1153 stations and going back to 1881. His conclusion: that if you look at the raw data, as opposed to NASA’s revisions, you’ll find that since 1940 the planet has been cooling, not warming." http://www.breitbart.com/londo...aud-muslim-outreach/
