Well said. There is so much in the Bible that is open to interpretation. Not that it is so much "wrong" but that they must be open to differing view points. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

The wife and I have been watching this channel for a while now. Mike Mazzalongo (imo) presents and explains topics very plainly, incorporating details about history you may not have known. This one is a good place to start. https://youtu.be/ObRSgJW0Oig?si=_Y-ogTf31mGsn7ZH

A couple of years ago I was inspired to read the Bible and I started from “In the beginning…” and got high centered somewhere in Exodus. I had an opportunity recently to sit and talk with a priest. He suggested saving the Old Testament for later; I’ve learned that some scholars say the Old Testament is actually easier to read and understand after reading the New Testament. He suggested starting with the Gospel according to Mark first, because it is the oldest, written somewhere around 62 A.D., and is considered to be source material for both Matthew and Luke. So, one recommended order would be Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, through to Revelation. After that, if the spirit moves, dive into the Old Testament. _______________________________________________________ despite them
