I've bought 2 Technivorm Moccamasters (1 for me, 1 for Dad)

I've bought 2 Baratza Virtuoso conical burr grinders (1 for me, 1 for Dad). BTW, you really need to get yourself one of these.

My gun safe and everything in it. Almost none of it is my fault Big Grin

My $.02?
If that's your "thing", and you can afford it, go for it!

As one that appreciates a good cup of coffee- Enjoy!

Me? I need to stay out of the "watch" thread. Oh, that damn "you will get a Glock" one gets me every once and a while too...

Guns for certain, knives for certain, watches for certain, flashlights for certain. The only affinity I had before SigForum is an affinity for fine writing instruments, Montblanc to be specific and nice luggages and office bags. I've ditch the luggages and office bags but I still have the pens.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Too many to mention.

Today it's cakes. I'm trying NOT to go to my local bakery for their ho-ho log or their flourless chocolate cake. At $50+ each, it's just not something in the budget right now.

I need to stay out of that cake thread today.

I had never heard of a Technivorm until SigForum and got one. Also never heard of Speed Queen until here and got one. I have bought so many things from recommendations here, but every single one has been absolutely spot on, worth every penny, and as good as people said it was. I find the best advice here.

Anything I use every day or that my life may depend on gets the “best I can afford” treatment. Things like coffeemakers, tires, guns, eyeglasses, flashlights, etc.

That said, SF did make me go down the flashlight rabbit hole. Already had the Technivorm.
