My new electric shaver (Remington) did something strange today. I was in another room when I heard a loud buzzing for about a minute, followed by a light thud. Upon investigation, I discovered that it was my shaver, which apparently turned on by itself, then walked itself off my bathtub ledge (no impact damage as far as I can tell).

So either I have a poltergeist with personal grooming concerns, or perhaps my shaver has electronic issues. Has this happened to anyone else? Noting that the shaver was very close to full discharge, in fact that's why it turned off. Or maybe it's an alert feature?

Was it plugged in for charging? Maybe there was a surge that triggered the electronics to turn it on.

Sounds more like gremlins to me. Big Grin

In my mind I'm comparing that to the slide switch on mine, which I don't think could turn "on" by itself. Maybe the contacts behind the button are compromised?

Bathroom, moisture or humidity gets through rubber on push button and causes a short or connection and it turns on.

Now it won't come on at all, and I just recharged it. So electronic issue it is. For some reason, this has been happening a lot lately with various devices. Back it goes.

When I was shopping for a beard trimmer there was one that had that same flaw. After reading the reviews I decided on a different model.

What time was this like Easter time?

Funny thing is, twice today while driving the school bus, the horn honked multiple times within a 10 minute time frame.

And no, I wasn't touching the horn button at anytime.

It happened today. Easter is this Sunday, so yes Easter week.

Maybe this is a Maximum Overdrive situation. Big Grin

Funny this is, this morning when it happened I was watching ghost hunter videos on Youtube. Coincidence? Wink

Actually I'm mildly worried it will turn itself on in transit for the return.
