My new electric shaver (Remington) did something strange today. I was in another room when I heard a loud buzzing for about a minute, followed by a light thud. Upon investigation, I discovered that it was my shaver, which apparently turned on by itself, then walked itself off my bathtub ledge (no impact damage as far as I can tell).
So either I have a poltergeist with personal grooming concerns, or perhaps my shaver has electronic issues. Has this happened to anyone else? Noting that the shaver was very close to full discharge, in fact that's why it turned off. Or maybe it's an alert feature?
In my mind I'm comparing that to the slide switch on mine, which I don't think could turn "on" by itself. Maybe the contacts behind the button are compromised?

Bathroom, moisture or humidity gets through rubber on push button and causes a short or connection and it turns on.

Now it won't come on at all, and I just recharged it. So electronic issue it is. For some reason, this has been happening a lot lately with various devices. Back it goes.

Actually I'm mildly worried it will turn itself on in transit for the return.
