I'd snicker and give them points for creativity, but that was still childish, wasteful, and uncalled for.

Yep, I was thinking about that too. I think the emotional immaturity is what keeps the administrative rank-and-file liberals, even when they are otherwise intelligent. . |

Very true. I didn't mean imply that all, or even most, leftists are intelligent. They aren't. . |

No, I don't believe that is the case. Have you done the research on this? I believe I heard Shapiro say at the time Biden made this EO that the Supreme Court ruled that, with respect to this issue, a President cannot simply reverse it.

| Why Trump cannot just unilaterally "unban" FJB's drilling ban order explained HERE. quote: The executive order, issued under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), seeks to block future oil and natural gas leasing along the East and West coasts, the eastern Gulf of Mexico and portions of Alaska's Northern Bering Sea.
Trump said that he "has the right" to reverse such an action, but given that Biden issued the order under a 1953 law that allows the president to enact bans on oil and gas development, he would not be able to simply reverse it.
In 2019, during Trump's first term, a federal judge ruled that OCSLA does not permit presidents to overturn bans established by previous administrations. This means Trump would need congressional approval to reverse Biden's decision.

That is unfortunate and no, I didn't realize the exception. Thank you both for letting me know. It may take a little longer now to repair the economy, but I expect a "Republican" majority in the House and Senate to move quickly to scoop up Biden's latest dump on the living room floor. . |

Merchan is such a coward. He knows this wasn't a case. But he didn't have the backbone to dismiss and hoped this would be "light enough" to prevent the President from appealing it. The Left just wanted to be able to say "convicted". I agree that the President should appeal and it will be quickly overturned in a real court. . |

| ^^^ Exactly that. The son of a bitch wanted Trump to bear the mark of a "convicted" felon, with this sentencing, prior to taking office.

It's maddening to watch the Left accuse President Trump of being a fascist while the Left shows itself to be fascist to the core, over and over, and is never called out for it because they own most of the legacy media. . |

Edge seeking Sharp blade!
| Several commenters yesterday following the Merchand sentencing suggested lawfare was significant in DTs election win. Pondering the mechanism for this, fence sitters or undecided voters had to research the law and the cases to conclude the prosecution was in the wrong and then decide to vote DT because of it. I don't see that happening in numbers significant enough to influence the election. Unless it was just apparent to any sane person that the prosecutions were unfair, but it seems some curiosity and clarification would be required. |

I think this is the case. When I saw the footage of the Mar-A-Lago raid, all I could think about was James Comey talking about how Hillary's illegal possession of classified docs was not worthy of prosecution. And then Biden's garage full of classified docs was excused. I dont think it takes a lot of legal research for any sane person to realize that all the cases that came after were B.S. as well. No research necessary. |

| OK, if Trump can’t “officially reverse” a JoeB Exec Order, why can’t he just “refuse to allow it to be implemented”? Same results, right?

We're talking about oil drilling ban, meaning no drill. By "refuse to allow it to be implemented", you're saying, "Drill, baby, drill", which is not allowed under the law. You have 2 options. 1. Work to unban it through Congress. 2. Work through the court by appealing.
