Renaming the Gulf, if done by someone on the other side, would be stereotypical feel-good BS that is a distraction from what needs to be done.

Trump does incredible things, and sometimes misfires. This seems like a misfire (and the cost of changing every map, chart, government article, manual etc etc isn’t insignificant either).

I like Trump's idea of renaming the Gulf but maybe Gulf of the Americas would be more acceptable to the world in general.

Yes Trump is trolling the left but I wondered if the renaming might be a get around for defeating the ex order that limp dick just made to stop drilling in the gulf of mecheco.

That’s kind of the point. Trudeau is gone, help the dude who is going to be an ally (PP) instead of hurting him.

I realize he's just trolling, but that does bring up a question in my mind... Who has the authority to do something like rename the Gulf? Doesn't seem like it's just up to one country to do so.

Now back to the fun! Big Grin

If FJBs drilling moratorium applies to the Gulf of Mexico, and you rename it Gulf of Americas, maybe the moratorium applies to an entity that no longer exists. In law a rose of another name may not be a rose.

FOMC Minutes Show 'Almost All' Fed Members See Higher Inflation Risks, Cite Trump Policies
Roll Eyes

So the Fed is not reactive (even when inflation is biting it in the ass), but is PROACTIVELY hostile toward the policy of a president it disagrees with even if said policy doesn't even exist?

* * *

Since The Fed's last meeting (Dec 18th) where they issued a 'hawkish cut', bonds and stocks have been dumped while crude and gold have strengthened along with the dollar...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Yeah I get the spending. But cuts and growth will come. Our Military needs reworked. Get over yourself Paul. I am sick of his shit.
