We were <THIS CLOSE> to acquittal by tonight, so Trump can go to his SOTU and not still be in the middle of this crap, but the NYT leaked more SHIT from Bolton's book this morning.

Goddamn it.

Update (1:20 p.m.): President Trump's impeachment trial will be extended until Wednesday according to journalist Paul Sperry and confirmed by Fox News.

Schumer is throwing a kink into the hearings to extend them past The State of the Union Address.

He will be using Senate rules to have every Senator go on the record. This is what I have heard.

Well... that should surprise no one.
He's such a weasel.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

There are two separate criteria a candidate must meet in order to participate in upcoming Democratic primary debates. One requires candidates to meet a certain threshold in recent polls. The current threshold is ten percent. The other criteria is that the candidate must have a certain number of individual donors to his campaign. The latter was a threshold that Mike Bloomberg’s self-funded campaign could never meet.

But today the DNC has revised the criteria and eliminated the donor threshold.

Bloomberg campaign:

“We are thrilled that voters could soon have the chance to see Mike Bloomberg on the debate stage, hear his vision for the country, and see why he is the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump and bring our country together,”

xxxxxxxxxx

Bloomberg is going to bring the country together ? what a sick joke

A heavy police presence was seen after Police and Secret Service opened fire at the gate crasher. Two people are in custody following a short chase involving a police helicopter.

Something happened to make him create a pretzel-logic path to okaying Obamacare. I think he is compromised in some way.

Again I say, lets be done with this foolishment.

Besides, witness supporting or disclaiming a flawed accusation are pointless.

Romney and Collins have long deserved to be ousted. Their votes today should ratchet up efforts to ensure they disappear.

Collins is up for re-election this year; I wouldn't be surprised if Maine Republicans sit that one out and let her lose.
The only problem is that Republicans have twice as many seats to defend this year. The math is not in our favor to hold the Senate.
Martha McSally and Cory Gardner are also vulnerable.
