Reporting from Ireland this week:

My eldest child and I have been spending the week at our Ireland house. It’s her first visit to the house, third time in Ireland. I’ve been introducing her to the folks that live in this village (population ~500 or so.)

Last night she said to me “Is it normal for Irish people to ask you who you’re voting for? It’s literally the second question they ask after ‘where do you live in the States?’ It’s ridiculous!”

I’ve experienced the same thing. I immediately respond “Donald J. Trump!” because I don’t shy away from direct conversations. It seems that most folks in this part of Ireland support Trump but there are few Kamala fans. Overall, the Irish seem very anxious about our election.

“The coverage of your election is inescapable here, you can’t get away from it. Surely the American media can’t be covering the race as much as our press is here.”

I try not to shake my head when I hear this, and I’ve heard it more than once. “I don’t think that’s possible, it’s 2 years of campaigning,” I say.

The media here and in England are as liberal lunatic as they come. I read an article in a Dublin paper written by a middle-aged woman who was once was a nanny on 5th Avenue in NYC. Trump visited the father of the house once and, in this article, she says “It triggered the baby Hitler question for me. Should I have rushed into the library with a kitchen knife and spared the world of a future tyrant?” … and this was in a “reputable” paper, talk of killing Trump to do the world a favor. An editor and a publisher think this is responsible reportage. They really want to encourage another assassin. Despicable.

Most folks in the village are Trump supporters “but I wouldn’t want have a drink with him. He’s much better as a President than Harris.” One house down the road has a huge Trump flag flying: Donald Trump 2024 - F—- Your Feelings. I smile when I drive past that house.

Among the Kamala supporters I ask why they like her. “She’s so accomplished, she has real class, she’s very bright, I think she’d be great for America.” I ask if they know how she got her start in politics. I usually get blank stares. I mention Willie Brown… same vacant stares. “Never heard of him…” Of course, not. They are equally unaware that no one has ever voted for Kamala to run for President. “Oh, that’s not true, they had a primary!” Hard to argue with persons that are so uninformed. I don’t push beyond these two questions, what’s to be gained?

Unfortunately , my daughter is voting for Kamala. She works in NYC so it’s not that surprising to me. I’ve seen all four of my sisters go Democrat as they all now live in liberal areas or work in universities. Same thing happened to my very bright daughter, voting Democrat because of peer pressure and fear of being socially ostracized. (Yes, it’s only my opinion and observation.)

The gist is, Ireland seems invested in the outcome of our election and is emotional about the process.

I’m going to be back here in December. The Kamala fans say “Well, I hope you come back disappointed. I will be happy when she beats him.” It’s said with laughs and smiles. The people in this country are 100% kind, generous and friendly even if they disagree with your preferences. If only that were true of 100% of Americans.

Presidential elections are seen, in other countries, as something akin to a sports match.

Nothing to do with actual politics but more akin to the media claiming their candidate is the best and the other team cannot win. They'll even disparage the other team's manhood so their (the media's) hometown fans are happy with the coverage.

Well they should be, they have low corporate tax rates. The number of major corporations based in Ireland is actually pretty staggering. Apple, Google, and Pfizer, just to name a few.

You clearly don't listen to her or her show then if you think that.

I agree and she is all in on Trump though she certainly does not consider him perfect like many of us. Here she is defending him on the scam trials. She has kids and doesn't want them living in a progressive America that Harris/Walz/Biden/Obama/Pelosi/Schumer/Soros want.

Judge Says Critical Pennsylvania County MUST Keep Early Voting Open Despite Democrat Attempt to Shut It Down.

https://thenationalpulse.com/2...mpt-to-shut-it-down/

President Donald J. Trump‘s 2024 campaign has won a significant victory in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to keep early voting open until Friday at 5:00 PM. Joined by the Republican National Committee (RNC), the campaign sued after local election officials ordered police to cut off early vote lines well ahead of closure times at some polling places due to the volume of voters—many believed to support Trump.“We just won the Trump Campaign/RNC lawsuit against Bucks County, PA. We will now have extended early in-person mail-voting through November 1st—three extra days,” RNC co-chairman Michael Whatley said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) after the court issued its ruling. He added: “We will keep fighting. Go vote! Stay in line!”

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign also hailed the decision as a major victory for voters. “We just won our lawsuit in Bucks County for extended Early Voting through Friday at 5:00 PM,” James Blair—political director for the Trump campaign—wrote. He added: “Thank you to the court for making the right decision and for finding that Bucks County violated the Pennsylvania election code and providing the requested relief.”

Earlier this week, video footage surfaced showing local police and Democratic Party volunteers telling voters they had to turn back from vote centers because the lines were too long and they would not be able to receive their ballot before the locations were slated to close. Some voters appear confused, especially when confronted by the Democratic Party activists who they initially believed were government election workers. In one clip, a police officer can be heard telling a woman that while the voting center didn’t close until 4:30 PM, the slow line and number of voters resulted in him cutting the line off entirely at 1:45 PM.
