My wife wore a similar dress for part of our wedding reception. Her parents brought the fabric back from Hong Kong and found a dress maker here. There's certainly a big export market for pre-made. No way to tell in this case though I lean to your thoughts given the second hand purchase. The look for offense in everything brigade really needs to zip it.
