Mad What the heck did I do with my wire strippers?! I used them last week to rewire a speaker cabinet. I usually hang them up on the pegboard but for some reason, I must have laid them down and forgot where.

Usually when I post about lost items here, they magically show up again.

These are what they look like:

I thought about that. I’d rather buy a new tool than open the cabinet up again. Big Grin

Looks like I’m going to have to check inside them though.

I hate it when I do that

I know better and keep doing it, anyway. The worst is I'll be working on something, wander off somewhere for some reason, idly lay the thing in my hand down somewhere, go back to where I was working, go looking for the tool I'd just had in my hand, it's nowhere to be seen, and I've no freakin' clue where it is.

Then there was the time, a couple years back, I needed my spring-loaded prick punch. It was in none of the places it should have been. "Ok, I'm not driving myself to distraction looking for the flippin' thing." Went out and bought a new one. Finished with it, went to put it away, and what do you suppose I found right where I went to store the new one?

Yeah: Now I have two of 'em

Funny, I've been looking for pruning shears. I know I used them in the fall, but now nowhere to be found. They weren't great anyway, but still...

I was in mom n dads attic last year and found a pair of dikes…when I handed them to dad he said-he hadn’t been able to find them for five years…apparently he was wiring a outside light at a corner of the house when he dropped them up there.

I can guarantee you will trip over them when you get the new Klien pair delivered.

It's not your fault. I know.

Your wife used them. She went to the pegboard and saw them and thought they would be perfect for cutting long asparagus into shorter spears.

The strippers are in the dishwasher, and all the detergency has removed the black finish.

You beat me to it. When my Klein linesman pliers went missing it was because the misses took them to use and never put them back. Then she couldn't remember where she put them so they were lost for about 9 months or so. When she did stumble upon they were in the process of becoming rusted. Got some oil on them just in time.

Between the seat and the center console.
You will need a flashlight and a long magnet pick up tool.
Maybe a coat hanger, maybe not.

Buy another pair, and they will turn up. Unfortunately, this strategy hasn't worked (yet) for my original ShooBoy hammer.
