They are with the tape measures, razor cutters, and 10mm wrenches.

If giving the kids the skink-eye didn't get them returned, I'd suggest getting 3 pairs. Spread them around, 1 in the tool box, 1 in the tool drawer, and 1 in the least likely place (which is where you are most likely to find them:-)

Oh, and I'd also count my blessings that it wasn't these guys: https://www.amazon.com/PreciSt...Ctools%2C242&sr=1-12

I haven't had to do any wiring in a long time. But recently a wood chuck snuck in the garage when the door was open. Totally oblivious, I put the door down and went away.

Mr Wood Chuck did a lot of damage in a failed attempt to escape. I finally discovered the problem and chased him out, then found the garage door would not close due to the wiring of the electric sensors being severed.

I had to hunt all over the basement to find my wire strippers, then my soldering iron and solder, and finally, the heat shrink tubing and heat gun.

Note to self: keep all that stuff together in one place.

... stirred anti-clockwise.

Yep. The cabinet with the vintage circa 1973 speakers with the delicate cones that can’t be replaced.

I trust the cones are not harmed. I have some vintage speakers too and share concerns about them.

When I lose something, I go around the house looking, and at intervals, I throw my hands in the air and yell "ah HA!!" as if I've found it. This method has proven successful.

The wife gets tired of hearing it and helps me look.
