My wife's family (Jewish) were living comfortably in Egypt. Both of her folks were born and raised there, although they didn't meet until they were both living in France as refugees. For the rest of her life, my wife's mother pined for the good old days when she lived in Egypt. She was a bank manager, and life was very good. But, as soon as Israel became a state, the Muslims in Egypt severely persecuted the Jews and she had to leave to save the lives of her mother, her three sisters and herself.

I've been studying the relationship between Israel (the Jews) and Muslims since I was a teenager. Now I'm told that I've been brainwashed, and I just have to laugh at the ignorance. I am amazed at how easily people are duped by so-called professors who are usually more ignorant about the very subjects they teach than many other people who have actual experience.

It would help to explain support for Israel without using any Biblical reference or belief. If there was no Bible, would the support be the same ?

I’d suggest you actually read some history books rather than let some pseudo academic tell you how to think. Israel has clearly caused or heightened tensions and committed war crimes but to equate the only democracy in the Middle East to the totalitarian regimes surrounding them and bent on their destruction is either the opinion of an uneducated person or an anti semite.

That's super easy. They are the only democracy in the ME and one of our largest allies in the region. They buy shit tons of weaponry from us (well in excess of the military aid we provide). They help us to develop and improve our military equipment. They act as our bulldog and plausible deniability in the area (see Iran and every one of their proxies).
