Update. Lad is finally with us.
Seems to be bonding well with us - plays, eats and slept through the night (which is more than what can be said for us).
Now have to wait a few days for the Indians to issue the exit permit.
Hoping to leave for home on Monday.
Will post pics as soon as possible. Haven't told the general public yet, but you guys are special.

This is fantastic news!
I know the red tape can be a nightmare so I am particularly happy for you and the rest of your family.
Please post pictures when you can.

Pics as soon as I get home.
Bonding very nicely. He's an extremely bright little lad. Probably grow up to be the stereotypical Indian engineer

Congrats, Clive!

I just spent Christmas with my sister, BIL, and their 3 adopted kids. It's their second Christmas as a family.

Your 3 year old will be talking up a storm soon I'm sure. And hopefully getting him so young he'll take to the local cuisine. That's been one hurdle with my sister's kids. They eat lots of chicken nuggets and corn because everything else is "fui". But that's getting better. My mom made a lasagna for Christmas which the kids have eaten before and liked, but this time they wanted chicken nuggets and corn. More lasagna for me. Razz

Finally home after multiple cancellations due to weather. Intercontinental travel in the era of covid is not to be recommended.
Little Peter behaved beautifully during the flights and is now settling in nicely in his home.

Locked in for 14 days (pesky covid regs) and in an advanced state of exhaustion. Will post pics as soon as I feel a little more human!

Children are always a blessing. they open up for us a new world filled with love and hope.

As I have found, adopted children bring a blessing that cannot be expressed or quantified. Congratulations.
