If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts |
Right handed is my norm but when playing baseball, softball, and hockey I play either left handed or right. Over the years I have broken my right arm on a couple occasions so I taught myself to shoot either righty or lefty.

I found it interesting that a couple of lefties here swing a bat right handed. My son is right handed, but the first time I put a bat in his hands, I turned him around and had him bat left. He did so from t-ball all the way up through high school. My wife is left handed, but right eye dominant. Our son is left eye dominant. Our daughter right/right, as am I. _______________________________________________________ despite them

I'm left-handed with the exception of basketball and shooting. Lots of things I can do with either hand. I'm another left hand, right eye dominant shooter. Where do you other left-handed folks wear your watch? Left or right wrist? Left for me.

I'm VERY left-handed, and left eye dominant. Throw, bat, write, shoot, fish, bass & guitar. I also do many things right-handed which are required by their design; calipers, micrometers, etc. "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth 'til death. Left handed right eye dominant. shoot mostly left handed. In second grade forced to write with my right hand. My chicken scratch is barely readable. I do most things left handed. tools can be a pain in the ass. I can use my right hand for most things not athletic.

Eat, write and shoot pool left handed. Everything else I'm a righty.

On my left wrist. Maybe because of wrist size, but also because it's easier to buckle up, I also have to swap the straps around so the buckle is on the other end from the way it normally is and shipped from the factory. I tried wearing a watch on my right wrist and it just felt too weird. Couldn't get used to it.

I'm Left eye dominant and have greater dexterity with my left hand, but I'm physically right hand dominant. I write, eat, brush my teeth, use pliers or a screwdriver, and run a power drill lefty. I shoot pool, and do any other activities requiring fine dexterity with my left hand as well. This includes shooting a rifle, which is VERY natural to me. Not only am I left eye dominant, but I have a much greater trigger control with my left hand. In fact, I have always shot a rifle lefty, even when that rifle was a stick I picked up off the ground as a young boy playing in the neighborhood war games. I basically play all sports right handed, and do any activities that require greater physical strength/coordination right handed as well. This includes snow shoveling, cutting w/ a knife, ax, hatchet or saw, hitting a baseball, and throwing anything. I shoot a pistol right handed, though from a bladed stance, which moves the gun over towards my dominant left eye. I cock my head ever so slightly to get sight picture and seems natural to me. I have also always shot a 'stick pistol' the same way as far back as I can remember. I never had to think about it, I just did it, and still do. There are some activities that I can do ambidextrously. I can mouse a computer with either hand, though over time I've evolved a bit there. I now use a mouse right handed almost exclusively, but have always used the touchpad on a laptop with my left hand. With a hammer I tend to start/set nails lefty, but drive nails righty. I can use a wrench or drive a ratchet with either hand, but I pretty much stick to 'righty tighty, loosey lefty'. I hold a cell phone/radio in my right hand, and operate/push any buttons (on pretty much anything) with my left hand. I am a right handed drinker, and wear a watch on my left hand, which is exactly where it should be worn! ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Cynic |
I'm right handed but in high school I blew up my right hand with a cherry bomb. So I was left handed for over a year. Then went back to right hand but I still do some things left handed. I still keep my change and keys in my left pocket. I've always been left footed. I kick left footed and start off on my left food walking. That helped when marching in the Army. _______________________________________________________ And no, junior not being able to hold still for 5 seconds is not a disability.

Forgot to say: I wear my watch on my right hand. If I put it on my left for any reason, including for the 6 months when I screwed up my right humerus (and the doc screwed it back together for me), I never looked at it. So there's no point. I use my left hand for the snare drum and my right hand for the hi hats and ride cymbal. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

Left-handed for sure. Left eye dominant but I shoot with both eyes open so I shoot right but train left also. Because I am a Mechanic I use both hands about the same but when doing fine dexterity it is the left that works best.

About the only things I do right handed is use a mouse and a P-38 can opener. Watch is on the left wrist. suaviter in modo, fortiter in re

Do---or do not. There is no try. |
I’m all messed up. Right eye dominant Write, eat, use tools, and fine motor skills right-handed Shoot firearms right-handed Kick right-footed Play golf left-handed Baseball: Bat left-handed, throw left handed, BUT Hockey: Shot left-handed, but since I was a goalie, the natural move is to catch with the left hand, so I ended up being able to catch a 90 MPH puck better with my left hand than I could catch a baseball with my right. Go figure.
