To add, despite Left Handed: Tennis, Hammer_Axe_Hatchet_Saw ... I bowl right handed. Same hand I throw a ball with.

Slingshot ... right handed

Despite Left Handed firearms and being right-eye dominate ... I qual'd Expert with Navy 9mm Beretta (shot with both eyes open).

I do almost everything right-handed (the *correct* way Wink ), but I do shoot pool and fish left-handed.

The fishing thing, I only found out in my mid-20s. I cast with my right arm, but then switch over to the left, and work the reel with my right hand. I only learned this when people kept switching the reel lever over when they borrowed my pole/reels.

My father taught me how to shoot pool and fish, and he was left-handed.

I use a hammer with my right hand; I honestly don't know how I use other tools. I never thought about it until now.

I can switch hit in baseball, but that was after a lot of practice years ago as a kid. It wasn't natural. I can also hit a golf ball left-handed. I can't throw at all with my left hand. In boxing when I was younger, I was completely uncoordinated sparring as a southpaw. I probably could have adapted but gave up trying. My feet have always been interchangeable though. I can kick/punt just as comfortably with either foot.

I was a 50 cal mount captain on one of four mounts aboard USS Stephen W Groves FFG-29. There was a M60 mount on either bridge wing and I REALLY wanted to shoot the M60, but being left handed, it was virtually impossible because of a steady stream of brass.

^^^ Where many left-handers write with a crook hand, I learned early to write with a straight wrist. In school and using a right handed desk, I would just sit kind of sideways in the desk so need not crook my wrist and smear the writing. I was also trained and worked as a Draftsman ... before AutoCAD and computers. Would not have worked well, had I drawn with a crook wrist.

I went through parochial school as a lad. The nuns tried to force me to be right handed. They finally gave up after whacking the knuckles on my left hand with a wooden pointer for a year every time I picked up a pencil with it.

Turns out I have extremely nice penmanship which was why the nuns let me slide. It has actually helped me get jobs throughout life. Back in the day when you would fill out a application by hand that is.

I turn the paper more than crook my wrist.

As a baby and young child, my mother said she tried to force me to be right-handed. She gave up.

Biggest (slight) advantage being left-handed, that comes to mind: Almost 50yrs ago when at the University of Montevallo, I played intramural tennis and for ATO fraternity. Many right handed players just weren't used to play against a lefty and the ball sometimes came from unexpected directions and shots they made that would have scored on a righty, I mostly handled. With this (slight) advantage I was able to hang with and occasionally defeat exponentially more skilled opponents. Was invited to try out for the University Tennis Team but just didn't get around to it ... or stay in college long enough.

I'm very ambidextrous. I even use a computer mouse with either hand. I think some of it comes from years of basketball and forcing myself to use both.

Only thing I DON'T do left-handed is bat (badly) and swing a golf club (even more badly). I tried both left handed (with left-handed clubs, obviously...) and it was just weird. Or weirder...

I use my computer mouse left-handed but I didn't switch the buttons which confuses people watching me.

I write with a straight wrist and turn the paper to suit.

Write and eat left handed.

Bat and lacrosse right & left.

Can use about any tool equally well right or left handed.

Golf, hockey, and everything else right.

I'm right handed but try to use my left when possible. I can write, use a mouse, or things like that left handed.

I am naturally left handed when writing or throwing or rifle/shotgun(left eye dominant) shooting and batted left handed. But, I shoot pistols and play golf right handed and a few other things.

Rod

I’m mostly the same. I eat with either, and fishing switches depending on style. Mostly right hand rod, left hand reel. I use “left handed” freshwater baitcaster reels. For salmon fishing I keep the rod in my left and reel in my right.
