Resurrected on page 11, especially for people who got shot number four.
====================

This is serve as a place where people who’ve gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, and especially a booster, to report and discuss any effects they’ve noticed because of it.

Please limit your comments to your personal experiences or those you’ve seen yourself.

PLEASE, Please, please do not clutter this thread with second, third, or more remote reports of things you’ve heard of or comments about why you don’t intend to be vaccinated, or about the mandates, or what your company’s policies are, etc.

I would like this to be a single place for us to learn what those who have been vaccinated have experienced. There is another 900+ page thread where all that other stuff can be discussed for those interested, but what I’m asking for here would just get lost there.

Me first: I got the first and second Moderna shots in January and February. No noticeable effects from the first other than a slightly sore arm. About 12 hours after the second I woke up in bed with severe chills to the point of shivering. Put up with that for about 30-45 minutes and took a couple of Tylenol and shortly thereafter the chills stopped. Got the third shot booster two days ago at the VA. Very mild arm soreness for a short period, but no other noticed effects. The nurse said that the booster shot was half the dose of the originals.

I was vaccinated with Pfizer in late April and early May. The first shot caused not side effects. The second caused minor soreness at the injection site for 2 days.

I got the Pfizer shots in March/April. Was tired after the first. No issue with second.

Wife got the Moderna shots in Feb/March. No significant issues.

Best friend - had flu like symptoms for a day after his second shot and after booster. All were Moderna.

Daughter 1 No issues with original Moderna shots. Got a Pfizer booster (early Sept?). Flu like symptoms with booster. Sick a day or two.

Daughter 2 and 3 - no issues. Not sure which the received.

Son-in-law 1 and 2 - no issues.

Son-in-law 3 - an endurance athlete (think iron man competitor) had some issues. Took a couple weeks for him to get back to normal. He did see his doctor. Second shot mid June. No on going issues

I was vaccinated with Moderna last February and March, only had a sore arm after each shot for a week or so. Just got the Moderna booster yesterday, slightly sore arm today, certainly less sore than the first two doses.

Wife and I had the Pfizer vaccines in January and February, Pfizer boosters in September/October (we are 65 and 66). Wife had some arm soreness, slight fatigue, possibly slightly elevated temp., doesn't remember from which shot in particular. I experienced nothing aside from brief, mid shoulder soreness.

Slight tangent- had Shingrix shingles vaccine also. No problems after the first, felt like shit and ran a temp for about a day after the second.

Got my Moderna in March and April. Shot 1 was a non event, very minor soreness at the injection site. I got shot 2 on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I was a little tired. Woke up Saturday at 100%.

Got the booster yesterday. So far it's pretty much the same as shot 1, minor soreness.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

I'm confident I had the virus in February of 2020. After that, my lung capacity felt diminished and I would quickly lose my breath while jogging. I reluctantly got the Pfizer two-shot vaccine in July of this year for ease of travelling. After the second shot, I had tiredness for about a week and a half. Since then, I can jog 3 miles with no difficulty.

But not other discernible effects.

Had Pfizer shots 1 and 2 in February and March — felt okay after first shot and felt achy / semi-sick for two days after the second shot.

All good other than that.

I had Pfizer, 2 shots, in April 2021. In each case, my upper arm was sore the day of the shot, and I was a bit tired the day after the shot. No other side effects apparent.

I had a bad case of the disease itself in December 2020 which resulted in cardiac complications, so I was a bit hesitant.

I was advised to take the shots by both my regular doctor and my cardiologist, and am glad I have done so. I'll take all the protection from this thing that I can get. Will likely go for a booster end of November or early December, which will be my 6 month point.
