Slice it lengthwise, rub it with fresh garlic, drizzle a little olive oil on it, then apply a layer of anchovies. A plate of olives on the side and a glass of Rioja drawn from the cask behind the bar. Mmmmm . . .
That sounds so good! Were the olives fresh?
Olives are a major crop in Spain.

I just told my girlfriend about this delicacy, she had her usual reaction since anchovies are involved.

A Potted Shrimp recipe I found in Cigar Aficionado Magazine also didn't appeal to her. I guess I have campaign for a long weekend alone.

I grew up in a different country. We had Coke.
In the early 1980's as a very young man, I went to Africa and asked for a Coke at a restaurant. The server asked if Pepsi was OK.
I had never heard of Pepsi. I had to ask " What's a Pepsi"?

What, you're too good to give it a stir?

It's not necessarily just the "stir" part. It's the flavor. I don't know what they add to the "regular" peanut butter, but it tastes a lot better than the other stuff. Probably sugar and salt....
