Sounds like if I want a quality grease gun, Lincoln is the way to go. Thanks for all the replies “I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.”

I went through two of the smaller grease guns over the years before deciding to purchase a Lincoln grease gun. I purchased the manual side lever model as it is easier on your hands if you have a lot high pressure fittings. It is much better quality than the cheap ones and my only upgrade was a flexible hose tip to get into the difficult areas. Only complaint is that it leaks a bit after being stored; I will probably build a PVC grease gun holder as discussed on a previous thread.

I keep my grease guns in a 5 gal bucket, with some absorbent cloth at the bottom. They do leak a bit over time. I have three Lincoln's, a standard side arm with red grease, and pistol grip with lithium grease, and a pneumatic also with lithium.

I have one of the Lucas branded ones from Home Depot. Something less than $25 at the time. It doesn't leak, but changing tubes proved to be somewhat messy. Old tube gets stuck, new one doesn't want to just slide in. It has performed fine when needed, though. -- I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is.
