But I thought “masks keep us safe”?!? 5 years ago they were threatening to arrest people who didn’t wear a mask, now they’re threatening to arrest people who wear them? What is it, assholes? Newscum has said he would use local law enforcement to enforce the no mask law on ICE agents. So claiming HIPPA would stop any type of arrest right there. There are lots of ways around the law using various Federal Laws, ways to screw with any Leftist Judge willing to entertain the enforcement of the no mask law. | |||

This is what I’m confused about. According to the information I found, HIPPA protections/requirements do not apply to law enforcement. In general (as I understand it), it applies to medical providers and associated activities, not everyone. Are you saying that if someone is found with (apparent) medications containing controlled substances that the police cannot ask for proof that they were properly prescribed and not purchased from some guy on the street because that would be a HIPPA violation? I’ve been out of law enforcement for a long time, but demanding that was certainly permitted in my day. I do know that when someone is booked into jail, he can be required to explain what the pills he had on him when arrested are for if he wants to continue taking them. I know nothing about the details of this, but would the superior agency thing come into effect? CA Officer, “You’re under arrest for wearing a mask.” Federal Officer, “You represent an inferior agency. You are interfering with a Federal operation. Piss off or you’ll be arrested, detained, and charged.” Yes, I’m sure it would be more polite than that, but doesn’t the hierarchy of government play into these kinds of things? Apparently, all you have to do is claim it. Schools are claiming HIPPA, rehab clinics are using HIPPA to “neither confirm nor deny” a court ordered person is there. Even if they have warrants. ^^^^This HIPPA has a very narrowly defined scope of who it applies to. People can scream HIPPA all they want but it doesn’t change that. You cannot wear any mask into my credit union. (Or motorcycle helmet. hoodies and a few other things) When they tell you to remove your mask and you claim it is a medical thing, and they ask you "what medical thing", it is not a HIPPA violation. You can scream HIPPA all day long, but that won't make bank people fall under HIPPA.
