But ICE officers are not masked hoodlums. They are Federal law enforcement agents executing lawful orders to enforce immigration law. I know that we know this, but his analogy does not match ICE officers’ actions.

And the officers are clearly uniformed. There is no question.

So we will stop ignoring federal law if you take federal law enforcement out of our state. I would not trust these rat bastards for one second. Walz, Frey, Ellison and Flannagan should already be charged with insurrection given their rhetoric alone and participation in Signal chat. Active defiance and actively working against federal law and law enforcement. Most law enforcement in Minnesota is not allowed to ask immigration status or cooperate with the Feds. Sorry but this is capitulation.

This has been going around in the last couple of days. Normally I discourage presenting Twitter posts for discussion. I'd like the membership's opinion on what this guy has to say. I imagine there has always been a certain amount of agitation to left protests, but this situation just seems more.

The Trump administration will withdraw 700 federal immigration agents from Minnesota, border czar Tom Homan said Wednesday. The move comes weeks after agents killed two U.S. citizens, sparking protests across the country.

"My goal, with the support of President Trump, is to achieve a complete drawdown and end this surge, as soon as we can," Homan said at a news conference.

He reiterated that immigration efforts would continue and that agents would not solely target undocumented criminals.

"If you’re in the country illegally, you are not off the table," Homan said. "Let me be clear, President Trump fully intends to achieve mass deportations during this administration, and immigration enforcement actions will continue every day throughout this country."

Homan said that the drawdown is partly a result of cooperation between Minnesota county jails and federal immigration officials, making it easier for immigration authorities to apprehend targets. Homan asked for such cooperation from state and local authorities over the last week.

"This is smarter enforcement, not less enforcement," he said, adding that local authorities will not be conducting immigration enforcement.

Over the past two months, more than 3,000 federal immigration agents have descended onto Minneapolis, in what the Trump administration has dubbed Operation Metro Surge. For comparison, the city has 600 police officers. Homan said that roughly 150 federal immigration authorities were present in the city before the operation began.

Immigration officers and agents have arrested 4,000 people on “immigration violations” in Minneapolis since operations began on Nov. 29, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told NBC News on Wednesday.

She did not provide a breakdown of how many of those had criminal charges.

Local officials responded to Homan on Wednesday, saying they “remain concerned about the thousands” of ICE and Border Patrol agents in the state. Videos of confrontations between immigration authorities and residents of the Twin Cities have continued to go viral nearly daily since talk of a drawdown began last week.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Monday that federal immigration authorities in Minnesota will be equipped with body cameras. Homan reiterated that funding for the equipment is coming to the area.

"The drawdown and body-worn cameras are a step in the right direction, but 2,000 ICE officers still here is not de-escalation,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said in a statement. "My message to the White House has been consistent — Operation Metro Surge has been catastrophic for our residents and businesses. It needs to end immediately."

I do not believe the WO’s opinion is wrong. I also do not believe the crazy tranny shootings, Trump assassination attempts, the Charlie Kirk assassination, or the democrats allowance of foreign actors and terrorists to enter our country unfettered is not all loosely connected. Not as in one giant conspiracy, but more of an exploitation of opportunity by nefarious actors that are enemies of our republic. The ultimate solution does keep me awake at night because the two competing ideologies cannot coexist. We lost our way when we deprived a whole generation the skills necessary to think critically and not let their emotions guide their beliefs.

JD Vance explained it cogently, I think. The drawdown is not ICE, it's federal agents. They're the ones that had to be surged to protect ICE while they actually did their enforcement activities.

If they have begun to actually receive help from the local and/or state police to protect ICE from mobs while they do their job, they don't need to tie up all the other federal agents to do what is a police activity, not a federal LE activity.

That sounds reasonable to me--if the MN state/local LE actually start doing their jobs.

DHS fires senior CBP official for allegedly leaking sensitive information
A senior CBP official was marched out of Washington DC office after department discovered sensitive personnel information was leaked to the press

By Preston Mizell | Fox News
Published February 7, 2026 10:28am EST | Updated February 7, 2026 10:33am EST

The Department of Homeland Security fired a senior Customs and Border Protection official on Thursday after it was revealed that the officer was allegedly leaking sensitive, personal information about CBP personnel, as well as negotiations regarding the border wall to the press, sources within the department told Fox News Digital.

The official, who was unnamed, was marched out of his CBP office in Washington D.C., after DHS discovered the leak, sources said.

"As DHS law enforcement face an 8000% increase in death threats, leaking law enforcement sensitive information is abhorrently dangerous," a DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "DHS is agnostic about your standing, tenure, political appointment, or status as a career civil servant — we will track down leakers and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law."

The news comes just days after a Fox News Digital investigation uncovered an underground communications network being used by anti-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agitators across the country. Tactics include the doxxing of agents, the tracking of license plates and releases of personal information about agents.

Fox News Digital also learned that at least 13 database systems are now known to store the data, which includes personal information as well as photographs, uniform details, behavior patterns, phone numbers, and other sensitive items.

Last week, FBI Director Kash Patel said the agency is investigating the now widely known Signal messaging chats that have allowed agitators to communicate to obstruct and confront federal agents in Minneapolis and in cities across the country.

It is unclear whether the officer who was fired on Thursday had any involvement in Signal group activities, as sources at DHS could only confirm leaks to the press.

The same Fox News Digital investigation reveals that sensitive information is at the center of what’s driving vigilante-type agitators to travel to hot spots where demonstrations are taking place.

A nationwide web of hundreds of anti-ICE groups facilitates a "rapid response" system to train civilians and call them to action. Federal law enforcement officers have clashed with the trained and allegedly well-funded agitators on multiple occasions. These clashes have led to assaults on agents, raising concern over potentially physical and potentially deadly outcomes for both agitators and agents.

One such arrest was that of Kyle Wagner, a self-described Antifa member and Minneapolis resident who was arrested after Wagner allegedly encouraged followers to attack ICE agents. In a video obtained by Fox News Digital, he is heard telling followers they should "get your guns" and identify agents.

In announcing his arrest, Attorney General Pam Bondi said Wagner "allegedly doxxed and called for the murder of law enforcement officers, encouraged bloodshed in the streets, and proudly claimed affiliation with the terrorist organization Antifa before going on the run."

Wagner's case and the uncovering of a multichannel communications network allegedly used to push and promote agitators to confront ICE agents are being investigated by a number of federal agencies.

The senior CBP official’s firing is just the latest development by individuals exposing the identities of federal law enforcement officers that could ultimately put agents or their families in danger.
