Her vehicle was pulled out from the curb at the time, and essentially stopped across the the travel lane, perpendicular to the flow of traffic. I believe he had originally exited the silver SUV which was in front of her vehicle on the street before she pulled out. Where should he have gone...The ICE Officers intended to arrest her, they weren't playing field hockey!

Thanks. (I almost posted "OODA" I am familiar with that from the USAF).

In the video, I think he moved to the passenger side, and was not past the plane of the front until she backed up, and before she turned her wheels.

He may have not wanted to be in a cross fire as the guys in the truck went for the driver's door, but might have been at the passenger door to get a view of driver, hands and area for weapons, and moved forward to the passenger fender.

Hope his and other body cams have good video.

I have no issue with hammering someone for deserved actions, but hate the "Chauvin-istic" knee-jerk BS that comes from PC and other agenda driven motives, and MN being a GDC state.

Although, this might move to fed level, and hope that would be favorable to a fair assessment.

She started this by driving into an "active (crime?) scene" of an crash with yellow tape and LEO presence. So approaching and perhaps apprehending her was justified. If that is the case, she put herself in danger, then endangered others by attempting to flee.

But, I cannot know more that may change my POV.

And I will say, that my opinion is that this is the kind of crap the GDCs intend to provoke.

All of it. From the actions and behaviors that bring about illegal invasion, the fraud, the criminalizing of our institutions and what all. Every last bit of it, and all the fruit it bears.

And I might be a tiny bit biased.

Appreciate your insight, knowledge and experience in helping to understand what is often not obvious as well as context.

Correction. I saw the "crime scene tape" that was placed after, and mistook that for something existing area the SUV drove into before the shooting. (entering where ICE folks were is still relevant)

Officer-created jeopardy? Every single time a LEO attempts to detain or arrest someone they are in jeopardy!

Her actions created the jeopardy. Had she not driven into that area the numerous officers would not have been in jeopardy. Had she complied with orders to turn off the car or to get out, nobody would have been in jeopardy.

Regardless of her intentions when she accelerated forward wrt striking the officer with her vehicle, the actions appear to any rational adult as an attempt to run him over.

They don't want me on the jury if the agents are charged with anything.

Occams Razor.

A left wing TDS patient interfered with lawful actions of Federal Law Enforcement action. When confronted, she tried to flee. An ICE officer was in her path initially, and he fired in self defense.

If one is ordered by LE to exit a vehicle, it is not a good idea to press on the gas.

Of course the left will decry this as an “unarmed protester” being gunned down by out of control Feds for “no reason”. Roll Eyes

In my mind someone directing a 5000 pound projectile is not an “unarmed protester”.

You want someone to blame? Blame local politicians for fomenting hate against the agents and blame local police admin for not cooperating with the Feds.

You can’t just decide to barricade streets because you don’t like enforcement actions. Her response to being approached for the barricade should have been either compliance and exit the car or noncompliance and be forcibly removed.

Her decision to attempt to flee and an hit agent with her car was her initiating lethal force. The outcome of her actions caused the agents to respond with lethal force. She brought it on herself, her death is the outcome of her own actions.

Mayor, Governor, and others need to STFU and quit whipping people up into a frenzy.

If officers have their hands on my car and another is standing in front of my vehicle, it's clear to me as the detainee that the last thing I want to do is drive away to displace the officers with hands on my car, and blocking my ability to flee. If I get a bullet it would be well deserved, esp since the vehicle is by definition a potential deadly weapon. An analogy might be keep your hands out and up, but you reach in your pocket.... Stepping on the gas is sort of the same thing as failing to keep your hands visible, no sudden movement that could be interpreted as unlawful deadly force. She got what she deserved. LOTS of perps have been shot for reaching into pockets to draw a gun or weapon, or in this case, stepping on the gas in the worst possible moment upon being detained.

It amazes me how much bullshit and danger so many officers endure in all of these street protests, if I were in charge I'd drop a massive tear gas bomb and go in with gas masks and zip ties en masse and arrest everyone who physically impedes any officer.

If you lay a hand on an officer you get arrested. If you stand in front of an officers vehicle to prevent his movement you get arrested. If you fail to keep your hands visible or your car stopped while being detained, you should hope you get arrested instead of sent to the morgue. It's up to you stupid.

Vehicles have been used several times intentionally driving into crowds of people killing and maiming. If you are sitting in a running vehicle attempting to block a law enforcement action you may as well be holding a loaded weapon. They gave her a chance to shut it off and leave the vehicle. The moment after that when she put it in gear and started to move she became a deadly threat to anyone within blocks if she wasn't stopped.

My wife just sent me this text, it pleases me to know that I married well!

“I'm sorry but when LE has their guns drawn and they are demanding her to get out of her vehicle and she chose to try to drive away, what exactly did she think was going to happen? They were gonna wave and say bye-bye? Fuck around and find out

Tired of the disrespect toward leo, let alone putting them in harm's way, either directly or through proxy (ie - doxing).

I'm glad that FAFO is a thing. Perhaps at some point of too much FAFO, respect will return.

Whatever happened to civil disobedience? While I completely disagree with the point of view of the anti-ice protestors, she would have been accomplishing disruption and publicity had she just parked her car there and sat on the ground.

She apparently didn't have any kind of plan in mind, and when things got serious she went into panic mode.

I do not think she was trying to hit the him. She was trying to avoid him. The officer was positioned in front of the car, on the driver's side. She turned the wheel to the right to try to drive past him.

All of which is completely irrelevant from the perspective of the ICE agent.

...all while ignoring instructions to stop, to include the officer coming up to the driver's side window with instructions.
