ICE Confirms Presence at 2026 World Cup Matches

The acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told House lawmakers on Tuesday that his officers will be present in U.S. cities hosting World Cup matches this summer.

The U.S., Canada, and Mexico are co-hosts of the World Cup, although the majority of the matches will be played on U.S. soil, including Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Missouri, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Seattle, and San Francisco.

"ICE, specifically Homeland Security Investigations [HSI], is a key part of the overall security apparatus for the World Cup," Todd Lyons said at a House Homeland Security Committee hearing.

HSI is responsible for all criminal investigations related to human trafficking and is involved in many large sporting events, such as the Super Bowl and the Olympics.

Lyons was responding to a question from Rep. Nellie Pou, D-N.J., about whether ICE would suspend its enforcement operations during FIFA matches and other FIFA-sanctioned public events.

"We're dedicated to securing that operation, and we're dedicated to the security of all the participants as well as visitors," Lyons said.

This year's World Cup is expected to be the largest in the tournament's history, with 48 teams participating in 104 matches, including 78 matches on U.S. soil. About 10 million people are projected to visit the 11 host cities in the U.S.

Pou told Lyons that if people feel they're going to be "wrongfully incarcerated" by ICE officers, it will "hurt this entire process. I hope you realize that."

"Yes, ma'am," Lyons said. "ICE is dedicated to ensuring that everyone that visits the facilities will have a safe and secure event."

Pou responded that without assurances that ICE will pause its enforcement operations for the World Cup, "our local communities and national reputations will indeed be suffered."

Last May, in a meeting of the White House FIFA World Cup 2026 Task Force, President Donald Trump said, "Every part of the U.S. government will be working to ensure that these events are safe and successful, and those traveling to America to watch the competition have a seamless experience during every part of their visit."

Good for her. She got what she was seeking. Attention and hopefully a stretch of time in jail.

These problems only exist in blue states. I wonder if they will ever be smart enough to connect the dots or are they so totally brainwashed that even a jail sentence and losing rights won’t make a difference to these animals.

This is not actually uncommon. Usually it’s a young male who is a badass until they get into cuffs. Then all they want is their mommy.

When I first started this job it was the opposite. People didn’t act like badasses until they got the cuffs put on.

Judge Orders ICE Not to Re-Detain Abrego Garcia

The illegal immigrant from El Salvador is also facing federal human smuggling charges.

A federal judge has blocked U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) from re-arresting Kilmar Abrego Garcia, one of the men at the center of the Trump administration’s deportation battles.

The Salvadoran national’s case attracted attention across the country, including widespread protests, after the federal government detained him in March 2025 and shipped him to El Salvador’s maximum security prison, the Terrorism Confinement Center, along with an airplane full of other deportees.
He was later returned to the United States, where he has had long-running legal battles with the administration.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, who ordered the administration to facilitate Abrego Garcia’s return last year, ruled on Feb. 17 that he cannot be deported again because the federal government has not presented a feasible plan for removing him from the country.
The judge said that despite releasing Abrego Garcia, the government appeared to be making plans to re-detain him, so Abrego Garcia filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order to prevent being re-detained.

The court previously granted the requested order.

In the new order, the court granted Abrego Garcia’s request to upgrade the temporary restraining order to an injunction to prevent him from being re-detained.

Abrego Garcia, who entered the United States illegally more than a decade ago, had been living in Maryland when federal agents arrested him.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security takes the position that Abrego Garcia is a “violent criminal illegal alien, and MS-13 gang member,” who “belongs behind bars and off American soil.”

Abrego Garcia, who is facing separate criminal charges, denies being a member of MS-13, which has been designated a terrorist organization.

Xinis previously ordered his release on Dec. 11, 2025, finding that because the federal government had never issued a final order of removal against him, it could not detain him in order to force him from the country.
The government said in a brief last month that Abrego Garcia may be detained because an immigration judge issued an order of removal on Dec. 11, 2025, that became final on Jan. 13 of this year.

Detention after that order “does not require that the country of removal be certain in order for detention to be lawful,” the brief said.

The judge suggested the federal government is not serious about removing Abrego Garcia from the United States.

Since he secured release from criminal custody in August 2025, the government has “made one empty threat after another to remove him to countries in Africa with no real chance of success,” she said.

The judge said that, given the federal government’s maneuvering in the case, it was doubtful that Abrego Garcia would be deported in the “reasonably foreseeable future,” so he may not be re-arrested or put into immigration detention.

“Respondents have done nothing to show that Abrego Garcia’s continued detention in ICE custody is consistent with due process,” Xinis said.

In April 2025, Xinis had ordered that Abrego Garcia be returned to the United States from the prison in El Salvador.

The same month, the Supreme Court ordered that the federal government take steps to bring him back to the United States.
The government of El Salvador cooperated, and Abrego Garcia was returned to the United States in June 2025.
At the same time, Abrego Garcia is currently facing federal criminal charges in Tennessee related to the alleged unlawful transportation of undocumented aliens.

He has entered not guilty pleas to the charges.
The May 2025 indictment brought against Abrego Garcia alleges that he “conspired to bring undocumented aliens to the United States from countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, and elsewhere, ultimately passing through Mexico before crossing into Texas.”

It alleges that Abrego Garcia and his co-conspirators obtained financial payments from the undocumented individuals for unlawfully transporting them into and around the United States.

The indictment also alleges Abrego Garcia was “a member and associate of the transnational criminal organization ... [known as] MS-13,” which it describes as “a criminal enterprise engaged in ... acts and threats involving murder, extortion, narcotics trafficking, firearms trafficking, alien smuggling, and money laundering.”

Abrego Garcia “used his status in MS-13 to further his criminal activity” over the life of the criminal conspiracy during which he and co-conspirators “knowingly and unlawfully transported thousands of undocumented aliens ... many of whom were MS-13 members and associates,” according to the indictment.

Abrego Garcia’s attorneys have called the case “baseless.”
“There’s no way a jury is going to see the evidence and agree that this sheet metal worker is the leader of an international MS-13 smuggling conspiracy,” attorney Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg said.

The Epoch Times reached out for comment to the U.S. Department of Justice, which represents federal agencies in court. No reply had been received as of publication time.

Idaho DHS Building Targeted In Leftist Terrorist Attack

https://newsaddicts.com/idaho-..._campaign=newsletter

Authorities in Meridian, Idaho have shared details on a disturbing terrorist incident involving a suspect who stole an ambulance and drove it into a building leased by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The sequence of events began around 11:10 p.m. local time on Wednesday, February 18, when an ambulance belonging to Canyon County Paramedics was stolen from an ambulance bay at St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center, according to a report from local outlet KBOI.

The suspect then proceeded to retrieve gas cans that had been staged in nearby vegetation or bushes. Shortly after, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, the suspect drove the ambulance directly into the St. Luke’s Portico North building.

The building, which is owned by St. Luke’s Health System, serves as administrative office space and has recently been leased to DHS, the parent agency of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). However, ICE agents are not stationed there, and the space is not used for processing activities.

Following the collision, the suspect poured gasoline or another type of accelerant inside and around the ambulance. They then attempted to ignite the accelerant but was unable to do so before being interrupted by arriving law enforcement and first responders. The individual then fled the scene on foot.

No fire was started, and the incident did not result in any injuries to the public, first responders, or occupants of the building, as no one was present in the structure at the time. The ambulance was also unoccupied by paramedics during the theft.

The ambulance was largely totaled after it was rammed into the building’s lobby, resulting in broken glass and structural impact at the point of entry. The St. Luke’s Health System confirmed that the event has not affected patient services at their facilities

Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea described the act as intentional during a press conference on Thursday. “This was absolutely an act of violence, and if the suspect had not been interrupted, there is no doubt this building would have burned, putting the lives of first responders and others at risk.”

Basterrechea also addressed escalating violent rhetoric and the dramatic increase in violent attacks targeting federal immigration agents nationwide. “There has been a lot of rhetoric surrounding the Department of Homeland Security leasing office space at this location,” he said during the press conference.

Idaho-based activist Ryan Spoon reported that just three days prior to the attack, local leftist groups Babe Vote and The Idaho 97 Project issued a “call to action” against the building for leasing space to DHS.

“We want to emphasize that this was a serious criminal act. The theft and destruction of an emergency vehicle not only created a risk to responding personnel, but it also temporarily removed a critical medical resource from the community,” Basterrechea told reporters.

The perpetrator is described as a single suspect who has not been identified or apprehended. Authorities have stated there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the broader community despite the fact that the suspect remains at-large as of this report.

The investigation is being led by the Meridian Police Department, with coordination from federal and state agencies including the FBI, ATF and DHS.

Bondi says federal agents arrested 25 people over anti-ICE protest at Minnesota church

"Today, [the DOJ] unsealed an indictment charging 30 more people who took part in the attack on Cities Church in Minnesota," Attorney General Pam Bondi said

https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday that federal agents arrested 25 people over an anti-ICE protest at a Minnesota church last month.

"Today, @thejusticedept unsealed an indictment charging 30 more people who took part in the attack on Cities Church in Minnesota," Bondi posted on X.

"At my direction, federal agents have already arrested 25 of them, with more to come throughout the day. YOU CANNOT ATTACK A HOUSE OF WORSHIP. If you do so, you cannot hide from us — we will find you, arrest you, and prosecute you. This Department of Justice STANDS for Christians and all Americans of faith."

FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox News that the arrests showed that the bureau would not tolerate attacks against peaceful worshipers.

"Today’s FACE Act arrests with our federal partners show this FBI will never tolerate those who target, attack, or intimidate Americans peacefully exercising their right to worship freely," Patel said in a statement.

"To date, 39 individuals have been indicted over their role in the January 18th targeting on Cities Church — with multiple arrests already occurring last month including Don Lemon. Thanks to our FBI Minneapolis team for their tremendous work, as well as great HSI partners and Attorney General Bondi’s DOJ for their relentless pursuit of justice," he added.

Lemon and the church protesters were arrested and are facing federal charges that include conspiracy to deprive rights and interfering with religious freedoms, under what is known as the federal FACE Act, after the protest at the Cities Church in St. Paul.

Protesters at the church demanded that one of its pastors resign, saying he also serves as the acting director for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office in Minneapolis.

The indictment that was unsealed on Friday alleged that the agitators took part "in a coordinated takeover-style attack and engaged in acts of oppression, intimidation, threats, interference, and physical obstruction."

"As a result of [the] defendants’ conduct, the pastor and congregation were forced to terminate the church’s worship service, congregants fled the church building out of fear for their safety, other congregants took steps to implement an emergency plan, and young children were left to wonder, as one child put it, if their parents were going to die," the indictment reads.

The defendants identified in the indictment are Nekima Valdez Levy Armstrong, Chauntyll Louisa Allen, William Scott Kelly, Don Renaldo Lemon, Jerome Deangelo Richardson, Jamael Lydell Lundy, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Ellyse Fort, Ian Davis Austin, Aziza Mohammed Aboud, Max Richard Adamson, Michael Walker Beute, Ezra Chaim Pye Blumenfeld, Shane Ryan Bollman, Kelly Ann Carey, Monique Cassandra Cullars-Doty, Tiffany Lynn Dunlap, Andrew Jared Edwards, Rachel Rose Goligoski, Amelia Cristin Hansa, Ariel Hauptman, Krista Erin Hogan, Heather Danielle Lewis, Danielle Andrea Matthias, Catie Anne Michaelson, Eric Ryan Michaelson, David Anthony Okar, Jarmel James Perry, Cheryl Ann Persigehl, Emmar Monike Pineda-Moreno , Spencer Michael Rodriguez-Bocanegra, Katherine Elizabeth Shaw, Satara Diann Strong Allen, Charles Lee Swenson, Robyn Elise Swenson, Thomas Matthew Tier, Lee Elizabeth Wiedeman Tuggle, John Donald Vergin, and Mark David Weinfurter.

The indictment alleges that the protesters "conspired and agreed with one another to oppress, threaten, and intimidate multiple persons, including the clergy, staff, and congregants of the Cities Church."

According to the indictment, Armstrong, Allen, Strong, and Cullars-Doty, along with others, "organized" the protest, which they dubbed "Operation Pullup." They allegedly promoted it on social media and met at a shopping center prior to the church disruption to coordinate it, per the indictment.

"Once at the Church, all of the defendants entered the Church to conduct a takeover-style attack and engaged in various acts in furtherance of the conspiracy," the indictment reads.

The defendants are also accused of "aiding and abetting one another, by use of force, threat of force, and physical obstruction, intentionally injured, intimidated, and interfered with, and attempted to injure, intimidate, and interfere with multiple persons" who were trying to worship.

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon allegedly followed the protesters into the church and spoke with the pastor.

"This is unacceptable, it's shameful. It's shameful to interrupt a public gathering of Christians in worship," Cities Church lead pastor Jonathan Parnell said when Lemon asked for his reaction to the crowd storming the church. "I have to take care of my flock."

Lemon was charged with conspiracy to deprive religious freedom rights and a violation of the FACE Act and pleaded not guilty.

Illegals Arrested for Brutal Sodomy, Torture During Home Invasion.

https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...35/m/8960095515/p/89

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed on Thursday that two illegal immigrants from Mexico, Zaid Mayen and Jonathan David Garcia-Larios, were arrested in connection with a violent home invasion in North Carolina. The attack, which occurred last Wednesday in a quiet Greenville suburb, involved the suspects breaking into a male victim’s home, restraining him, and subjecting him to brutal assaults, including sodomy and the removal of his fingernails.

DHS officials described the incident as “a real-life nightmare,” with outgoing Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stating, “Burglarizing, kidnapping, assaulting, and sodomizing, and ripping off the fingernails of an innocent victim are extremely wicked and heinous.” The suspects, aged 21 and 20, were arrested last Friday with assistance from U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement.
