https://www.theepochtimes.com/...pQiusqW89h3CVZJRA%3D Trump Admin Deploying 700 US Marines to Los Angeles, Military Says A senior Trump administration official confirmed the development on Monday. The Trump administration activated 700 active-duty U.S. Marines from the Camp Pendleton base in California to Los Angeles in the midst of immigration protests and riots in the city, said military officials. U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) said in a statement Monday that the Marines “will seamlessly integrate” with troops “who are protecting federal personnel and federal property in the greater Los Angeles area.” Earlier, a senior Trump administration official told The Epoch Times that the Marines are being sent to Los Angeles due to increased threats against federal buildings and federal officials in the city during the unrest. A spokesperson told The Epoch Times that the 700 Marines will arrive sometime in Los Angeles on Tuesday. NORTHCOM said in a Sunday statement that around 500 Marines would be on standby, after President Donald Trump already authorized deploying the National Guard to the city. In a post on X, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also said that the Marines are on “high alert,” drawing pushback from California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Democratic officials. Newsom wrote in a post on X that the federal government is “threatening to deploy active-duty Marines on American soil against its own citizens.” “This is deranged behavior,” he said, drawing a response from Hegseth on social media. The Pentagon chief wrote on Sunday morning that Newsom and local officials have allowed Los Angeles to “burn” and “law enforcement to be attacked” by rioters, suggesting that Marines need to be deployed to quell any unrest. U.S. Marines have been deployed domestically for disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. They are known for being “first in, last out” in U.S. military interventions abroad, but it is considered rare for U.S. military troops to be used for domestic policing matters. In a memorandum issued on Saturday, President Donald Trump authorized the deployment of National Guard members. While speaking to reporters alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sunday, the president also did not rule out invoking the Insurrection Act. Trump said on Monday he felt he had no choice but to order the deployment to prevent the violence from spiraling out of control. Around 300 members of the California National Guard had been deployed to three spots in the Los Angeles area, NORTHCOM has said. The Department of Homeland Security said the Guard’s mission is to protect federal buildings. “We are suing Donald Trump,” Newsom wrote in response to the Guard deployment in a post on X. “This is a manufactured crisis. He is creating fear and terror to take over a state militia and violate the U.S. constitution.” On Monday afternoon, California Attorney General Rob Bonta said his office is filing a lawsuit against the administration over the National Guard deployment. He and Newsom argued that the decision was made without the authorization of Newsom and goes against the wishes of local law enforcement. “Let me be clear: There is no invasion. There is no rebellion. The President is trying to manufacture chaos and crisis on the ground for his own political ends,” Bonta said in a statement. California’s lawsuit accuses Trump of exceeding his authority under the law and asks a court to declare his actions as unlawful. Amid a public spat between Newsom and White House border czar Tom Homan, Trump was asked by a reporter at the White House if Homan should arrest the governor. “I would do it if I were Tom. I think it’s great,” Trump said in response. “Gavin likes the publicity, but I think it would be a great thing.” Both the White House and Republicans in Congress, in the meantime, have argued that the anti-immigration enforcement protests suggest that the One Big Beautiful Bill Act needs to be passed because it will increase border security funding. The bill is currently being considered in the Senate. “The lawlessness happening in LA is ANOTHER reason why we need to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill IMMEDIATELY,” wrote House Speaker Mike Johnston (R-La.) on X. Trump has pledged to deport record numbers of people who are in the country illegally and to lock down the U.S.-Mexico border, setting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement a daily goal of arresting at least 3,000 migrants.

Yesterday, the LAPD chief said that he has sufficient resources at hand or they could rely on an extensive network of partner agencies as needed, but based on what happened yesterday, he's have to reassess that. Here's the little secret. The chief serves at the pleasure and direction of the mayor and she's not the least bit inclined to clamp down on the violence. She likes it. Newsom likes it too. The chief is limited, and he's anxious to stop the violence but the mayor needs mileage out of this for the future and to regain favor in the community. The recent fires were a disaster for her and this help rebuild her stature. She has the chief on a short leash. Newsom is the same way. He could have brought in the NG to shut this down but he's opposed to it, citing the resources of LAPD - the very ones that Mayor Bass won't use. This is a political event from pickup people subject to deportation. It's not LA chaos or an upending of life for the vast majority of the millions who live in the city or the county.

I read earlier today the LAPD stated they need help and can’t handle the rioters alone. Trump was right. Yet again. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

As an old combat vet, I can say in these situations ( been there done that ) if you pile up 6-10 agitators and organizers the opposition folds quick. Playing around with paint balls and less lethal will only get you so far. Some rioters need to be sent to god or devil, and key players treated harshly - long term non country club prison. I like the idea of running up and down the street with septic suckers on reverse ( not like excrement isn’t already flowing in the streets of California cites anyway.) Or possibly having aircraft drop noxious substances on them.

Why isn't throwing bricks/rocks/chunks of concrete into the windows of ICE vehicles not considered deadly force? Now there are pallets of bricks showing up...sound familiar? I'm all for more aggressive rules of engagement. Dude in the motorcycle helmet tossing stones at law enforcement vehicles as they drove by should have been smoked. Period. JP

Bondi says FBI has identified man accused of assaulting officer, damaging federal property in LA https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter Attorney General Pam Bondi on Monday night announced that the FBI has identified the man that allegedly assaulted a federal officer during rioting in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend. The FBI previously offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest and conviction. His actions allegedly injured a federal officer in Paramount, California, on Saturday and he allegedly damaged government vehicles. Bondi told Fox News' Sean Hannity on his program that the FBI is now serving a search warrant for the suspect's house. "The FBI has identified him," Bondi said. "That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house, as we speak. And he has been identified…his name is Reyes. He is going to be on the Most Wanted list. "He has been identified by the great police work by the FBI," she continued. "So, you can run, you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on police officers, we’re coming after you." Bondi also vowed to go after rioters who loot during the unrest, or spit on law enforcement officers, claiming both cases would see criminal charges and prison time. Looting will get a maximum sentence of 20 years, she said. "As President Trump said: ‘You spit, we hit,’" Bondi said. "Get ready. If you spit on a federal law enforcement officer, we are going to charge you with a crime federally. You are looking at up to five years maximum in prison." The Los Angeles Police Department on Monday announced that at least 50 people have been charged over the riots so far. _________________________

Newsom was extremely stupid in recent days. In the last few months, he made an effort to cross over into moderate territory, and now he has again partnered with Karen Bass and pissed it all away being on the wrong side of national 80/20 issues, illegal aliens and violent riots. He is perhaps the most schizophrenic politician out there, he stupidly went back to his true self instead of seizing the moment. ![]() "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

Page late and a dollar short |
The President has deployed the military to protect federal facilities, other federal property such as vehicles, equipment and federal personnel due to the inability and or the unwillingness of the Mayor and the Governor to do such. I feel that any expenses related to damages to city, county or state property and injuries to it’s citizens should be borne by the state and it’s taxpayers/residents through a statewide Special Assessment District. Let them know this is a result of their elected and appointed officials and the consequences of the same. And combatants should not be afforded free medical treatment with federal dollars as a result of their participation. again, let the state foot the bill through the S.A.D.only. An exception to this would be to allow the police, fire, EMS personnel to be eligible for federal support if injured or killed. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A.
