I listened to Bidens speech. The most galling thing he said was that the rights set forth in the Constitution are not "absolute". All the Americans who fought, bled and died to see it endures would disagree. Mad

It’s getting to the point where I can’t keep up with how many ways Biden is screwing up this country. His anti 2A rants are so tiresome now. His foreign policy is a disaster, with us possibly facing a two front war with Russia and China. The energy policy of his administration is the worst imaginable. Border security is practically gone. Supply chain problems seem intractable. To top it off, is he were to keel over dead tomorrow, we would have the prosect of Kamala Harris in the White House. I can’t stand the sight of the man.

He’s just the puppet, the guy who reads whatever his handlers order him to read. I’m really surprised they would be pushing hard for gun control right now as it ALWAYS results in disaster for Democrats, I think they are rushing to get as much done now before they lose the House and Senate later this year.

I’m actually tickled that they are, and if you look back I predicted they would push gun control sometime this year. I hope they go as far as pushing door to door confiscation.

Time to stop messing around and rip that bandaid off. The Dems need to eat every bit of this in November.

Oh boy Eek

Now seeing reports that Biden is allegedly blaming his staff around him for all the inflation mess and keeping him in the dark about it.

Claims he didn’t know about the baby formula crisis until like two weeks ago, does this guy not have a TV? Or is he just so addled with dementia that he’s out of it most of the time?

I suspect the latter

I really miss how Trump never, ever blamed his predecessors or made excuses about anything. Just said “we are going to fix this!”

And he did.

My memory is better than some and worse than most, but even I remember BHO commenting on events he HAD TO BE AWARE of, and saying he just saw it on the news or read about it in a paper... Slow Joe is doing the EXACT SAME THING he learned from BHO in an very weak attempt to transfer "responsibility".

Personally, I think its even more stupid to push gun control 'now' than in the past. Due to government's almost complete failures on every level, gun ownership is now more bipartisan than it ever has been, so attacking gun owners now means they are attacking a larger group than ever before. But they got nothing for November, and are grabbing at anything around them to try and stay afloat.

Democrats playbook is to blame the previous administration for all the ills. They never take the blame for anything.

For,example, our great Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. The first four years in office she blamed everything on the previous Republican Governor. After her re-election (she really didn’t accomplish anything in the first term) she still blamed the previous Governor. At some point you would assume that she would have taken ownership of the failures she created, but no, just blame others.

Just like she does now.

In other words the Saudis told Biden to go pound sand.

Biden has no ‘direct plans’ to visit Saudi Arabia at the end of the month

U.S. President Joe Biden shoots down reports on that he is planning an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the end of June.

https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/354378

U.S. President Joe Biden shot down reports on Friday that he was planning an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the end of June.

The trip would have ended Saudi Arabia's "pariah status" it had earned for the killing of U.S.-based journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Biden had referred to Saudi Arabia with the term "pariah" when he was a presidential candidate in November 2019 during a debate.

“I have no direct plans at the moment. But let me tell you I have been engaged in trying to work with how we can bring more stability and peace in the Middle East,” Biden said.

“There is a possibility that I would be going to meet with both the Israelis and some Arab countries... I expect Saudi Arabia would be included in that if I did go. But I have no direct plans at the moment.”

When asked by a reporter if “King Salman was still a pariah in your eyes,” Biden responded:

“Look, I’m not going to change my view on human rights. But as president of the United States my job is to bring peace if I can, and that’s what I’m going to try to do."

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested former White House economic adviser Peter Navarro on Friday, acting on a referral from the Democrat-run House that held him in contempt for refusing to testify at the partisan January 6 Committee.

"He is currently in custody, according to the US attorney's office in DC."

HSAs work like an Roth IRA for medical expenses. After you retire and are on madicare you can pay for your supplemental plan with triple tax free money.

I'll second this about high deductible plans. Insurance is a hedge against catastrophic risk. I don't think going to see your doctor for a check up qualifies as a catastrophe. Give the incentive of low premiums for high deductibles to get those customers who won't game the system and run up the costs for everyone else.

To fix the system, there shouldn't be coverage for normal and routine stuff. Without the subsidized insurance payments, then prices will go down.

He again blamed the high costs of food and gas on Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of the Ukraine. But he also acknowledged the blame being placed on his administration.

'I understand that families who are struggling, probably don't care why the prices are up. They just want them to go down,' Biden said.
Sorry, Joe... many of us do understand, and we do care.

The price of food is rising and on Thursday average nationwide gas prices hit a new high of $4.71 - with seven states higher than $5.

He said his administration would work to help people save money in other areas, such as utility bills, internet service, and prescription drugs.
Joe, what are you going to do about it? Pay my electric and cable bill? Roll Eyes

'If food and gas prices are going to be elevated by Putin's price hike, one way we can make things a little better for families is by helping them save on other basic items their family needs on a monthly basis, like their utility bills, their internet bills, their prescription drug bills, and other costs like housing,' he said

'My goal is to make sure that, at the end of the month, families have a little more breathing room than they have now.'

How are these subsidies going to work? Borrow $trillions, hand it out to your friends and supporters, and we get even more inflation?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
