Kamala’s big trip to Europe to solve problems.
It’s all about relationships, she just needs to have good relations with Putin and the worlds problems will be solved.

Oh and yes Joe is going to Delaware.

Bill Clinton Relaunching Clinton Global Initiative After 5-Year Hiatus

Bill Clinton announced the Clinton Global Initiative will be hosting a leadership summit in New York in September after a 5-year hiatus.

The Clintons are back as 1 million Ukrainian refugees flee to Poland, Moldova and other neighboring Eastern European countries amid the Russian invasion.

The Clinton Global Initiative mentioned Ukraine, Climate Change and Covid in its newsletter on Friday (shocker).

“The COVID-19 pandemic has ripped the cover off of longstanding inequities and vulnerabilities across our global community. The existential threat of climate change grows every day. Democracy is under assault around the world, most glaringly in Ukraine where Russia has launched an unjustified and unprovoked invasion that has put millions of lives in grave danger. The number of displaced people and refugees worldwide is higher than it has ever been—more than one in 95 of all people alive on the planet today has been forced to flee their home—and rising. And it seems that all across the globe, people are pulling away from those who are different from them—putting our future at greater risk and making it harder to solve the challenges and seize the opportunities in front of us.” Bill Clinton said in the newsletter.

“Overall fundraising for the Clinton Foundation, which also includes the Clinton Development Initiative and the presidential center in Little Rock, Arkansas, has dropped since Hillary Clinton’s loss to Trump. It reported $16.3 million in contributions in 2020, down from its 2016 peak of $62.9 million, according to tax filings.” Bloomberg reported.

“A new chapter of the Clinton Global Initiative is beginning,” CGI said in a twitter post. “And the need for cooperation and coordination has never been more urgent.”

At this point it sure looks as though she'd run if she thought she'd win. Not sure if she's quite out of the trial balloon phase, though.

Fourteen states sue Biden to divulge secret contacts about school board 'domestic terrorism' letter

Agencies invoke "unusual circumstances" to exceed FOIA window for turning over communications with National School Boards Association.

https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter

The Biden administration is stonewalling 14 states seeking documents preceding Attorney General Merrick Garland's controversial Oct. 4 memo directing the FBI to prosecute threats against school boards, according to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed Friday.

Garland acted in response to a Sept. 29 letter to President Biden from the National School Boards Association (NSBA), widely perceived as equating parental activism with "domestic terrorism."

While NSBA rescinded and apologized for its letter less than a month later, the fallout was severe. Nearly half its state members have left the organization or declined to renew, including Idaho and Arizona last month, according to a tracker maintained by the advocacy group Parents Defending Education.

Garland admitted in House Judiciary Committee testimony that the White House and Justice Department were in talks with NSBA for several weeks before the letter, confirming what acting Executive Director Chip Slaven told NSBA members Sept. 29. President Viola Garcia also mentioned a Sept. 14 White House meeting in an Oct. 12 memo.

And Secretary Kristi Swett told a board member Oct. 6 that Slaven had told the officers "he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House" upon request from Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, whose name is misspelled in Swett's email.

Led by Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, the 14 AGs claim they have received no response from the White House or Executive Office of the President more than four months after their Oct. 26 FOIA request demanding federal communications to or from NSBA. The White House did not answer Just the News's query seeking the status of its response to the FOIA request.

Two DOJ components, the Office of Information Policy and Civil Rights Division (CRD), acknowledged the request Dec. 17 and Jan. 5 and each assigned it a different tracking number, but have not further responded, the lawsuit claims.

Each cited "unusual circumstances" as justification for exceeding the statutory window for responding, and suggested narrowing the scope of the request. CRD implied that the states wouldn't receive a response for more than a month.

DOJ spokesperson Danielle Blevins told Just the News it couldn't provide the status of its response to the FOIA request because it's involved in litigation.

The Department of Education, by contrast, asked the states for "clarification and scope" of the request, they obliged, and the department confirmed the details Jan. 7. A department spokesperson didn't answer a request for the status of its response.

"As we’ve made clear repeatedly, the Secretary [Miguel Cardona] did not solicit a letter from NSBA," the spokesperson wrote in an email.

"Some politicians continue to peddle falsehoods and are more focused on manufacturing crises than addressing the real challenges students, families, and schools are facing - like helping students recover from the pandemic and get the mental health supports they need," the email continued. "That’s what the President is focused on—as he outlined in his State of the Union address—and we would encourage the Attorneys General to focus on that as well."

The mutually agreed-to DOE search parameters are the final document in 85 pages of exhibits attached to the lawsuit, documenting the states' communications with the feds and internal NSBA communications. Those include a board member's request to reschedule a meeting on the kerfuffle because she had "Hamilton" tickets.

Indiana v. Biden lawsuit exhibits.pdf
Rokita blasted the feds in a press release for their "schemes to prevent parents from speaking out against leftist indoctrination in public schools" and for Garland's refusal to rescind his memo on the basis that he never targeted the First Amendment rights of parents.

Rokita is joined by Arizona's Mark Brnovich, Arkansas' Leslie Rutledge, Georgia's Christopher Carr, Kansas's Derek Schmidt, Kentucky's Daniel Cameron, Louisiana's Jeff Landry, Missouri's Eric Schmitt, Montana's Austin Knudsen, Ohio's David Yost, Oklahoma's John O'Connor, South Carolina's Alan Wilson, Texas' Ken Paxton and Utah's Sean Reyes.

The states are missing key parts of the puzzle. Their FOIA request seeks federal communications relating to "the proceedings leading to the [Sept. 29] letter" from NSBA to President Biden, including the White House and its councils, Garland, Cardona and their subordinates, including "front office staff."

They also seek all federal materials relating to the "talks over the last several weeks" mentioned by Slaven, including "discussion copies" exchanged with NSBA.

When Senate Judiciary Committee members made similar requests last fall, they first heard from a DOJ whistleblower who provided an internal email contradicting Garland's earlier testimony, the lawsuit claims. The email said the FBI's Counterterrorism and Criminal Division created the threat tag "EDUOFFICIALS" to track threats about school administrators, board members, teachers and staff."

Under FOIA, the defendants have 20 days excluding weekends and federal holidays to provide a determination in response to a request, and may request a 10-day extension, meaning Nov. 27 was their deadline.

They haven't shown the records are "lawfully exempt," notified the states of "the scope of any responsive records" they intend to produce or withhold and why, or informed the states "they may appeal any adequately specific, adverse determination."

When I first saw that I could only think, “Man, if there was ever something that shouldn’t be released to the public, that was it.” Then I thought that perhaps they realized it couldn’t be kept secret for long no matter what, and they might as well yank that bandaid off immediately. Now, however, I wonder if someone in that brain trust thought, “Releasing the information will show everyone that it’s their fault, not Biden’s.”

We have truly been cursed with, “May you live in interesting times.”

Joe Biden Orders Study for Government Controlled Digital Dollar to Compete with Bitcoin

President Joe Biden plans to sign an executive order on Wednesday to study the concept of a “digital dollar” currency to compete with Bitcoin .

“We’re placing the highest urgency on the effort to assess the potential benefits and the risks of a digital dollar on payment systems, on financial stability, on national security, on the implications for human rights, and financial inclusion,” a senior administration official told reporters in a briefing call on Tuesday.

A digital dollar would be easier for the federal government of the United States to control than cash but make it more susceptible to inflation and government controls than open-source currencies like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is trusted by users for not being susceptible to government control, allowing it to exist without government interference in changing the supply or seizing or freezing assets.
Biden officials stressed that the executive order marked the first time that the United States brought together “a coherent and coordinated view” on digital currencies “at the very highest level of government.”

The Biden team revealed they had created “Crypto Sundays” events to coordinate with industry experts on moving forward to create the government’s own version of a digital currency.

One official defended the idea of a “digital dollar” in terms of social justice, noting that Americans “facing issues with financial inclusions” could use U.S. government currencies without the struggles of meeting requirements from existing banks, credit cards, and financial institutions.

“There’s at least potential here to try to address a very serious problem that mainly affects, you know, lower-income, middle-class Americans,” the official said.
The Bank of England has called on ministers to discuss whether or not a central bank digital currency should be “programable,” allowing governments to control its use.

“You could introduce programmability – what happens if one of the participants in a transaction puts a restriction on [future use of the money]?” Tom Mutton, a director at the Bank of England, said according to The Telegraph.

“There could be some socially beneficial outcomes from that, preventing activity which is seen to be socially harmful in some way ,” he continued. “But at the same time, it could be a restriction on people’s freedoms.”
