Is that just a weird lighting effect or do you have a house behind you painted like a candy cane?

Maybe taken through a window screen?

US Flag? Kinda looks like the red and white stripes, maybe the stars on on the other side

Going to make a pot of bad ass Texas Chilli today, seems perfect timing.
My dog (Boxer) surprisingly loves the snow.

Skip the eggs - they've gotten too expensive. Buy beer.

Chicken tortelloni soup on deck for tonight, with some freshly made sourdough which is in the oven right now.
We meal plan/grocery shop a week out, so this was already on the plan for this week.

Not how we are supposed to do it here in TX. This kind of thing lasts a few days and the idiot hoarders do exactly how you said so many people don’t have any bread, nor milk or eggs. Most of that stuff the hoarders buy ends up in a landfill. It’s just a stupid practice. Buy what you need instead of hoarding. It’s going to last a whole 4-5 days. That length of time doesn’t warrant hoarding anything.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

You know, like 6 to 48 inches.

Different when you don't really have the infrastructure in place to deal with it. Coworker said the last really major winter storm was in something like 1836, Houston got around 30" of snow.
2" is pretty significant & out of the ordinary for the majority of people here.
To make it worse, those that do decide to venture out in it, drive the same as they do in the rain, not accounting for the further reduced traction on the roads.

You don't need infrastructure. Just sit tight and it will warm up in day or two and melt it all. To many people think they need to be on the roadways when they don't really need to be.
Same problem we have up here in the north country.

Exactly, if only the majority thought that way.
Have only left the house to let the girls play in the snow. Have no intention of getting in the car until Thursday morning at the earliest, barring any emergency.

Got a friend in the San Antonio area. Snow and ice there too. When I talked to him this morning, he was hauling some pigs, helping out on a 4-H project. Driving around the area on nearly empty roads, “It’s awesome!” he said.

I never quite understood. Elderly librarians have 4-wheel or AWD now, exercise common sense with acceleration and braking, and you’re home free.

I dunno, a sporty car, empty parking lot, some slippery tires, and a manual E brake make for a bit of fun in the afternoon.....

Too much focusing on the epic snow, I didn't even notice it, until you pointed it out, and I had to go outside again to check it out. Just weird lighting effect. Lol.

Taken outside.

I was going to say that I thought I had seen it all when the owner of a house a few streets away from me painted his ENTIRE house the color of Pepto Bismol. We are talking the entire house, roof shingles, driveway, etc. Ugliest thing ever.

Over 6” at my house on the street. Difficult to know exactly how much really fell. Winds have been steady 30 with gusts to close to 50 so everything at my house is drifted
