Update - 04/06/2018 3:52 PM City Council did not cancel the gun show but instead voted to give the proceeds to "Gun Stoppers" Greensboro City website This week, the City Council approved a resolution to give the Greensboro Coliseum’s proceeds from an upcoming gun and knife show to Gun Stoppers, a program that provides cash for information that leads to an arrest or the confiscation of an illegal or illegally possessed firearm in Guilford County. The show brings in an estimated $40,000 in revenue to the Coliseum. The resolution was prompted by a Council discussion about whether the City-owned Coliseum should be used as a venue to sell weapons. “It’s important to note that we weren’t considering banning any guns or the sale of guns or ammunition. We have many sporting goods stores, pawn shops and guns stores that do business within the city limits. We were not proposing any restrictions on their businesses,” Mayor Nancy Vaughan said. “We live in a City that has issues with gun violence, homicides and concerns about school safety. We are working on a variety of public safety initiatives to decrease crime. Ultimately we decided to have the show and to invest in Gun Stoppers, to help get illegal guns off the streets.” Gun Stoppers is part of Greensboro/Guilford County Crime Stoppers, a nonprofit organization that partners with media and the community to advertise unsolved crimes and wanted people. Gun Stoppers provides a minimum of $250 for information, and tips can be given anonymously. Since the program started in 2017, Gun Stoppers has helped Greensboro Police recover 44 firearms and $61,000 worth of stolen property, arrest 32 people on 118 felony charges, and solve 32 open cases. To report an illegal firearm, contact Crime Stoppers by calling 336-373-1000 or texting to 274637 using the key word badboyz. Tips may also be submitted online at www.ggcrimestop.org.

It really resonated with me when he commented that we are: "First to be taxed, last to be listened to." Our politicians better wake the fuck up. We ARE the majority,

^^^^^ Well THAT is just a big ol' bowl of HELL TO THE YEAH!!! "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Mr. Robinson is a good Christian man, wise beyond his years and extremely humble. I asked him why he wanted to get into politics and go to Raleigh into that "pit of vipers?" His answer was that maybe he could do some good for the honest, plain folks in North Carolina. I've dealt with a great deal of politicians in my career and he is definitely NOT a politician. He has something that very few politicians have and that is common sense. He has more common sense in his little finger than the rest of the NC Politicians collectively have in their entire bodies. The NC leftist media is already working on attacking him. The Raleigh News and Observer had a hit piece on him last week (just in time for the primary election) damning him for mistakes in his fund raising paperwork. The liberals and their henchmen, the media, are truly afraid of Mark Robinson.

I voted for him, I was most excited about his win over anyone else. The pool for Lt. Gov. was HUGE too, I hope he stays on the same path and he has my vote for the future. Side note: I went to a movie premier in Lexington for a local movie (Strangled) made and saw him in attendance. I told my wife hey look there is Mark Robinson, she said go talk to him I said nah. Little did I know he played a preacher in said film! David W. Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud. -Sophocles
