So to recap, Cali has opted to have....

- Electric cars....they can't charge.
- Electric hot water and heaters....they can't run.
- No semi-trucks....so no food or other goods.

Retarded anyone??

What is Commiefornia planning to do with the present and future gasoline powered vehicles come 2035??? How much longer will the owners still be allowed to purchase gasoline or diesel prior to the 2035 deadline.. And what happens after the 2035 date will all fossil fuel vehicles be required to be turned in so that they can be destroyed and turned into shredded metal scrap.................. drill sgt.

My point was more....

- No way to go anywhere.
- No ability to live comfortably.
- No ability to simply acquire food or staples.

Sound like a first world country to anyone???

Don’t forget that diesel semi trucks move loads from the California ports east to the rest of the country.

These nitwits will pull us down with them.

I say invoke the real meaning of the interstate commerce clause and stop all these BS rules that restrict trade between the rest of the country and CA.

Why do trains get a pass? While truckers are expected to buy into new emissions every decade, the railroads are running trains with seventy year old emissions. I’ve seen two stroke EMD locos in California. What gives?

The law bans the sale of ICE powered cars and trucks. Not gas and diesel vehicles outright.

Even worse, let’s say the demand for NG fell to zero. There would still be the need for oil (society uses a lot of petrochemicals and lubricants, even absent ICE transportation). In the process of oil extraction, there is NG recovered. If there were no demand for the NG, it would just get flared at the wellhead. California would rather waste the gas then allow its use.

If I were to give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps CARB figures that it’s more efficient to use NG to make electricity and then drive a heat pump then it is to burn it in a residential furnace. I doubt they’re thinking is that sophisticated. It’s probably just a knee-jerk reaction against all fossil fuels.

Burning natural gas releases CO2. CO2 is one of those scary greenhouse gases. Never mind that natural gas is the cleanest and cheapest of the fossil fuels, or CO2 is naturally occurring.

In the minds of the Leftist, anything carbon burning is bad ergo, such fuel usage must be eliminated at all costs, even if that means we have to take several steps backwards as a civilization and get by on a thin gruel diet of renewables. And, don't even think about bringing up nuclear Roll Eyes

You tell them a locomotive is diesel-electric drive and they'll usually say ok but....

I saw Sonny Barger, the founder of the Hells Angels died & it got me to thinking. When is Newsome going to tell the Hells Angels, Pagans, and the other outlaw biker gangs in CA that they need to change over to e-bikes? Sonny's funeral is at the Stockton 99 Speedway, and it would be an excellent time for Newsome to show up, pay his respects, then make the announcement.Smile
