This is the most offensive reasoning possible. Each state sends people to Congress to represent their state. Not to represent outsiders. This is precisely analogous to Congressmen representing illegal aliens instead of US citizens. The system is designed by the Constitution to balance state's interests against each other with equal Senate seats and proportional House seats. Redistricting to offset other states' seat counts is subversion of the Constitution.

^^^^ Ironic that the home state of Thomas Jefferson would pass legislation that is diametrically opposed to his life's work to build and protect our country. Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

Barely. And not without question of vote legitimacy. - - - - Truly, though, voter turnout is a big problem for Republicans. We need to get people off their tails and into the voting booths. For that matter so is the compact she agreed to join giving the states electoral votes to the largest nationwide vote receiver. Outside of Trump, D will almost always get the larger count, since they hold mega city population. Then again Machiavellian communists don't care about the rules, they'll just bend and change them until they get their way

Yep. Sooner or later SCOTUS is going to have to rule on this. We are not a democracy, nor were we ever intended to be one. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. The Founding Fathers gave us this tool to fix an out of control government and we need to use it.

Now that the courts have intervened, this commie twat is saying the she hopes we have "serious conversations" about redistricting. What a steaming pile of horse shit. You know you're going to lose on this issue, so here you are with the con man routine. Whenever a leftist talks about "having a conversation" you're about ten seconds away from having a knife in your back.

I’ve read elsewhere (read: I have not verified) that ol’ Two-bullet Jay has never tried a case. Interesting. Also from the comments: perhaps Jones is doing this as a CYA in case it doesn’t go his way. “Don’t blame me! Today's update from FoxNews: Virginia GOP, Dems battle it out over redistricting before state Supreme Court
Full story at the link. The Virginia redistricting map was approved narrowly by voters in a special election that the Virginia Supreme Court allowed to be held amid a legal fight over the 'ramming' through of mid-decade redistricting. ^^^ Good argument! "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

| Wait, what? |
Virginia is VERY important to the left; I expect they will bring in the biggest guns they can to try and win this. Seeing as they are violating their own state constitution, it will be a hard row for them and n any case- certainly a time consuming event at minimum. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Away from Fairfax, Alexandria and the rest of NoVa, Virginia is a conservative state. They are attempting to control the entire state because the population center is the area around Washington, DC. It's a lot like Illinois. Outside of Chicagoland, Illinois is a pretty conservative state. But the population center is the area around Chicago. "Some things are apparent. | Wait, what? |
I understand this unfortunate turn of events. I grew up in northern Va; this was before it became an obvious extension of DC and politically so radicalized. NoVa currently has a lean left to the tune of about 80% last I heard. It is probably one of the most important strongholds the left wants to retain at the moment. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown
