Doctor Fired for Post: Texans 'Get What They Voted For'

A "deranged" leftist pediatrician in Texas suggested voters of President Donald Trump "get what they voted for" amid the deadly Texas floods, and she has been condemned by her employer and fired.

"This past weekend, we were made aware of a social media comment from one of our physicians," the Blue Fish Pediatrics leadership team wrote in a statement. "The individual is no longer employed by Blue Fish Pediatrics.

"As we previously mentioned in our original statement, we strongly condemn the comments that were made in that post. That post does not reflect the values, standards, or mission of Blue Fish Pediatrics. We do not support or condone any statement that politicizes tragedy, diminishes human dignity, or fails to clearly uphold compassion for every child and family, regardless of background or beliefs.

"We continue to extend our full support to the families and the surrounding communities who are grieving, recovering, and searching for hope."

Dr. Christina B. Propst reportedly deleted a post that drew the attention of discerning Americans and Texans amid the mass casualty event of a flash flood in the state.

"May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters and pets be safe and dry," the deleted X post read, Mediaite reported. "Kerr County MAGA voted to gut FEMA. They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for. Bless their hearts."

After being exposed by the Libs of TikTok account, Blue Fish Pediatrics issued a statement of condemnation of biased healthcare workers wishing death on children of conservatives.

"Thank you for alerting us to this," Dr. Sherif Zaafran, president of the Texas Medical Board, wrote in an X post, sharing the original Blue Fish Pediatrics statement.

"I was made aware of this earlier. This is the response of her employer attached on here. There is no place for politicization.

"The entire focus needs to be on looking for survivors. Any complaints we may receive will be thoroughly investigated."

Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, also condemned the politically biased pediatrician's "garbage" in a Monday appearance on Newsmax.

"There are some deranged people that live in the political world," Gonzales told "National Report." "I live in the real world, and in the real world, when an innocent person, especially a child, passes away, my heart sinks and I want to help that child, you know, regardless of where they're from – a big town, you know, or a small town or wherever it is.

"And to have some of these people try to make, you know, make a political statement out of this is absolutely disgusting. And there's zero room for that in America.

"There's nothing more disgusting than that."

This is the left in a nutshell. I don’t know of a single conservative that would make such a callous statement. If I had lost a child in this tragedy, I might be inclined to ensure the above mentioned “doctor” need schedule a dentist appointment for reconstructive surgery.

I'm not always in favor of people losing their jobs based on their political views because that's a slippery slope, but this was not only appropriate it was absolutely necessary. Anyone who believes it's just for harm to befall the children of people they disagree with has no business providing healthcare to anyone's children.

@DaveL, we all know you have the freedom, but you also bear the responsibility.

I don’t care if she lost her job or not, but I’m not surprised. She is in the healthcare biz, and her employer shouldn’t have to feel she may discriminate with her services due to her strong biases.

This is reading like it came out of the Los Angeles-area fires back in January. ...I've heard of this very scenario before.

Here in UK the BBC news headlines are filled with this appalling tragedy.

Any parent's nightmare, in spades - 'missing, not yet found', knowing that barring a reaL miracle, they are only going to get their dead child back, if ever.

I'm on a couple of other US-based fora, and one of them has a son who is among the civilian searchers - right now, as I write this. If this is out of place, Para, please delete it, but it's from firearms talk -

Hard to fathom what those affected are feeling. My wife’s cousins are in Austin and Dallas. Their little girls were at Camp Mystic the week before. One of them is a teacher and taught 4 of the girls who were missing. It’s just soul crushing to think about, especially with kids in the same age range that we send to camps in the summer.

Texas and the southwest are just like this. It is different than rain falling on Boston Commons. Why people continue to build in flood prone areas along the creek and river beds is beyond me.

I get living near water. I do. We're by a creek, but 35 feet above the creek, with the flood plane extending beyond us. It would take breaking God's promise to Noah for us to get flooded.

In some cases it is due to the scarcity of land. When I lived in San Diego we would shop at the malls in Mission Valey. They are built practically in the San Diego River riverbed. It rarely has any water in it, but when it does, you need a boat to get to the mall.

Fair, but we lived on Clairemont mesa, then Coronado. Would've picked Poway or points northeast before moving into a flood plain.
