For the record! My oldest grandson is in Special Forces. He has deployed to Afcrapistan 5 times. He has 2 purple hearts and still requires more surgery. He deployed needing 2 corrective surgeries. He also has been awarded the Bronze Star (V). His command staff wanted (4 times) to submit him for the Silver Star and he refused, saying he had done nothing more than any other member of his team would have done. My youngest grandson is medically retired from the army due to injuries received on duty. I have absolutely no tolerance for these fucking idiot democraPs who take every opportunity to do as much damage as possible to our country and more specifically to those HEROES who go into harm's way in keeping the bad guys "over there". Seems to me that we, as a nation, have a choice. We can fight them over there, or over here. My choice would be that it is over there. I have to confess that my screen got all blurry while watching Gen. Kelly's address. Thank you for posting this, I had not seen it. As many on the forum know I lost my brother in Iraq in 2004. This past June there was a private reception for gold star families at the Whitehouse. Members of my family were part of that reception. It was a private tour, catered lunch, an audience with the president, first lady and General Kelly. It was not something that the president had to do, but something that he wanted to do. There was only one rule for those who attended, no mention to the media beforehand. Hearing the congresswoman and the media carry on now about a phone call that didn't have to be made is absolutely disgusting. What is being portrayed is so far away from the respect and gratitude that my family was shown leaves me at an absolute loss for words. My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball. | |||
