That was incredible! Thank you for posting!!

He spoke from the heart, and with such poise and compassion.

I do not think that I would have been able to hold myself together if I was talking about my KIA son, or any of our KIA soldier's, which he probably considers all of them as his son'ss and daughter's.

He also is to be commended on professionally dressing down that worthless POS congress-bitch.

I will likely watch this again.

Ya know, we managed to rid ourselves of Corrine Brown, and this woman seems to think she needs to fill that void.

It is really troubling to see what kind of people manage to get themselves elected to Congress, but it does answer some of the perplexity about how we have ended up like this.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I imagine the mother of the fallen soldier is a Trump hater and the organ grinder's monkey got wind of the call beforehand.

Disgusting, disgraceful buffoon. I hope you choke on your dinner tonight. Really, I mean that, most sincerely. Most sincerely.

I just watched General Kelly's press conference on YouTube--it was trending #1, so a lot of people are going to see it unedited.

imo, if the mother did invite or allow Wilson or anyone else to listen to that phone call, then the mother is almost as worthless as Wilson. What's sad to me is that she apparently has no idea of or respect for what her son gave his life for. And, rather than coming to terms with it, as painful as that might be, she will probably always feel his life was wasted. So sad for her.

Reportedly she knew the soldier from a "role model of excellence" program. No doubt as soon as his death was announced she moved like a jacket to fears on the pain and publicity that the family had,

Somebody gave permission and made arrangements to have a third party present at or listen to what I would think would be an intensely private conversation.

Trump being criticized for saying "he knew what he was getting into". My interpretation of that is.." your husband was a hero. He knew what he was getting into but he volunteered anyway." Of course, I wouldn't expect our media to interpret it that way.

According to the scumbag:

quote:
Wilson said she was in the car with Johnson’s family headed to the airport to collect his remains when Trump’s call came in. Trump kept referring to Johnson as “your guy” during the call, she said. “When he hung up you know what [Myeshia] turned to me and said? She said he didn't even remember his name,” Wilson said.

Watched “Taking Chance” on HBO. While definitely a dramatization, I take General Kelly at his word that it is an accurate depiction of the care taken with the deceased as well as the gold star family.

Considering we’re fighting the longest war in our country’s history, I think we’ve become too far removed from our professional military.

The movie referenced by General Kelly, "Taking Chance" is included in the free movies available to Amazon Prime members.

It is a very somber movie that covers the Honor and Respect given to those who have fallen.

I watched Gen Kelly's news conference as it happened this afternoon, and again this evening I watched the OP's Yahoo link.

It occurred to me that, whether or not they may be aware, this could be a defining moment for Congress. I suspect the voting public will see Gen Kelly, react much as we have, and demand that the swamp has to be drained starting with both houses.

I hope I'm right.

I have known some of the active duty military personnel who work to receive and prepare the bodies of the fallen at Dover AFB. They are all volunteers, and they go about their duties with great reverence. I asked a female Air Force Technical Sergeant who worked on this assignment why she did it. Her response was, "It is a privilege to honor our fallen comrades in arms, to ensure it is done with dignity and respect".

Maggots like Wilson, Jackson-Lee, and Waters are in such safe districts that the only way they will leave office is when they croak, unfortunately.
