Coming up the stairs in my house, tripped on the top step. I had my laptop (open) in my hands, so I was trying to break my fall without dropping it, banged into a corner of a wall with my face and now I've got a schnozz that's somewhere between Karl Malden and Cyrano de Bergerac. It are big and purple, the color of royalty.
Put on an impromptu profanity clinic for the wife. Used most of my colorful vocabulary, held the spiciest in reserve.
The vision of my right eye was blurry for a few minutes but has cleared up.
Not much to say besides I hope you feel all better soon, and glad that it wasn’t worse. You must really hate cooking dinner…

I got in a bicycle accident when I was a kid. Friends say at least I wasn't hurt bad. My position was that at least I would heal, but I'd have to pay to fix the bike.
Now that I'm older, I question that wisdom.

I am glad it did not occur on the top step heading down. Cracked ribs would add insult to injury. Not to mention having to replace broken eyeglasses. That ordeal got me out of cooking dinner for a month. Hope you heal up quickly.
