Step by step walk the thousand mile road |
When the VP in charge of marketing told last year's fugly models they won't be returning, as they ended the conference call she said "Tatas." Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." Airsoftguy, June 29, 2018

My Saturday would consist of her saying "While you're watching the ball games today, I'm going to rake leaves, mow the lawn, clean gutters, and paint some trim around the windows, do you want steaks for dinner?" I doubt anyone passing by would complain of the view When that attitude gets boring, run her on a Windows operating system for a while. That will create loss of reason and accountability, increased stress with unpredictability, more normal stuff. Risk/reward as far as getting killed? hard to say .

Hopefully this is lesson learned for other companies. You can’t stop doing the things that made you great, and then be surprised when no one is interested anymore. (You hear me, Apple?) I’ve always believed that Victoria Secret was about the fantasy, the hottest women in the world looking as sexy as they can, bringing women in, looking for that item(s) that make them feel sexy and beautiful too. Sorry/not sorry…but when I walk through the mall and see posters on their windows with really big girls on them, it destroys the fantasy - it destroys what V.S. spent all those decades building. Good luck to them…After the Bud-lite debacle, and now this, I can only hope that we are slowly working our way back to some semblance of common sense. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Maybe VS thought “Baby Got Back” would appeal to a new demographic. Didn’t work as they had hoped, ‘cuz baby ain’t comin’ back… "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

It's all performative with these companies. They think when going back to the old ways of business that the profits will return but the old customers abandoned ship with the woke BS never to return.

It's going to be difficult for them to recover. Quality issues, customer base is pretty narrow. They would have to downsize upper management, make less of a great product and charge a lot more for it.

I thought making less of it and charging more for it was always their business model. Making less "full-body" stuff would lower their cost of sales. I always knew those accounting classes would come in handy. FIFO, LIFO... _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"
