What say you folks? I've been wearing a pack of Wolverine socks for the better part of 5 years believe it or not. They were bought as a stopgap when I forgot my regular socks, but have help up incredibly well in that time. Unfortunately the style I bought is no longer made. Have had good luck with some Wrangler brand in the past while wearing them with my cowboy boots, but I don't wear those daily to work in.

Trying to find 4-5 pairs that won't brake the bank and aren't too thick. Thoughts?

Point 6. They have various weights for various conditions. Keep an eye out for sales.

I mostly use these:

Thorlos. I was gifted a pair 20 years ago by my MIL. I wore boots daily when I was a cop and boots when I was a sailor. Eventually she got to giving me new pairs every time they came to visit because they passed the outlet on the way over. They easily lasted several years.

I don’t wear work boots anymore as a cop or in the reserves, but I have cowboy boots and they are worn with them.

I’m wearing w pair of Cabellas brand socks right now. Thick, warm, and wick sweat away pretty well. They have them in different lengths.

Another favorite in warm weather is Duluth Trading.

I also have 2 pairs of Under-Armor. Merino wool- excellent for colder weather!

Cabela’s here to for like 10 years or so now. They last quite a while and are cheap enough that it does not really matter.

Lucchese boot socks. I wear them with my cowboy boots regularly. They are durable and seem to resist odor well. Available 100% wool or a wool blend.

Or, Moto Skiveez. They are my favorite for motorcycling and airplane travel. They have some compression which is valuable when sitting, and the material definitely stops odors.

After 3-4 different brands, the Wrangler boot socks are my favorite of the ones I have.
Thick enough to be comfortable in Ariat boots, but not too heavy for TX heat/humidity.

Over the last 35 years wearing boots to work I have worn Thorlo, Smartwool, Darn Tough, Cabelas/Bass Pro brand, Wolverine and probably every other brand out there. Darn Tough are the longest lasting I have owned but I do like Smartwool.
