Sorry to further harsh your buzz, erj, but I've read interviews with her and she is every bit as much a phony as W himself. Clintons, Bushes-- not a whisker of difference.

Drat...That's a shame.

I was surprised, though certainly not shocked to read W's speech. Those of you who listen to Rush know that since President Trump took office, Limbaugh has voiced one consistent theme. It's not about Republicans vs. Democrats any longer. It's Washington insiders of both political parties and the beltway journalists against the outsider virus that's infecting their way of life.

I too voted twice for President Bush, but the truth is, he's much more Washington and Kennebunkport than he ever was Crawford, Texas rancher. W was joining the chorus of Washington elites in trying to weaken Trump's presidency.

President Bush has always been an enigma to me. He struck me as sincere, patriotic, down home and approachable. He talked conservatism, but governed left of center. I never understood why the Left hated him, witness "Mission Accomplished," Natalie Maines, Obama's continued denouncement. I still think I'd like him personally, but I'll never understand his overtures, again and again, to the Left.

She's pro-queer marriage and pro-abortion, among other things.

A real conservative peach, that one. Roll Eyes

There's nothing more conservative than leaving people the fuck alone in matters that don't personally involve you, and that includes gay marriage and abortion. Conservatism is not defined by Christian Conservatism, at all, and that some try to make it so is a yuge problem that causes much more harm than good.

There are ample reasons to hate on the Bush clan, but advocating personal liberty sure as shit isn't one of them. That's one of the few things she actually gets correct.

Though "leaving people the fuck alone" is a libertarian approach to government that I support fully, your statement regarding abortion is more than just a non-sequitur, it is pure bullshit. "Christian" has nothing to do with opposition to abortion, any more than it has to do with opposition to murder.

The secular state has a clear vested interest in preserving the lives of its citizens.

Thanks,

Sap

Amen!! I'm sure there is a vast population of atheists that oppose abortion.

Not to mention the "humanitarian" state. Sure wish leftist lib-tards would get as worked up over the murder of a fetus than they do the abuse of an animal...BOTH heinous acts.

Same here. As provident pointed out, the alternative was unacceptable. Heck, I would have voted for Jeb had he been the GOP candidate instead of Trump.

Sometimes we don't have good choices.
