I wouldn't call it traveling but I am decided to come up to the Bismarck, ND to work for the BIA. I got a bad bill of sale and the job sucks but I am loving the crap out of the area. I have not had this much fun in years.

So after talking with the other half, we decided I should spend the summer hiking, fishing and sight seeing then head back to NC in the fall.

After being here I have no desire to return to Durham ever again.

I've been in a few low places in 3rd word countries that I would pick over Durham, and I live in NC too!

We are heading out to Moab next week to do some hiking, rafting and off-roading in the 4Runner. Then we’re heading through the Tetons, Yellowstone and driving Beartooth Pass before heading back and swinging through Little Big Horn and Devil’s Tower.

Ironically, we planned all of this last December with the intent on just being on our own and avoiding people...who knew...

Just returned from Santa Rosa Beach (30A) in Florida!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

We’re doing a road trip in July, been on the books for over a year surrounding a reservation at Mt Leconte lodge in the smokies. Originally we were going to camp for most of the trip, but switched lodging to cabins last month. Going to hit southwestern VA, Smokies, and then Hot Springs Arkansas.
