Unfortunately, they'll wear this as a badge of honor and will be feted at various parties upon their release/completion of proceedings.

From the local rag

Park City attorney, skier husband arrested as hunting equipment taken

A Marsac Building attorney and her ski mountaineering husband were arrested on Thursday in Salt Lake County in connection with the disappearance of hunting equipment in the mountainous area outside of Summit Park.

Polly Samuels McLean, 49, and Andrew McLean, 57, were booked into the jail in the Salt Lake Valley on suspicion of theft and criminal mischief, according to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Polly Samuels McLean is the assistant Park City attorney at the Marsac Building. She has worked for the municipal government for approximately 13 years and once worked for the Office of the Attorney General in Utah. Andrew McLean is known internationally for his ski mountaineering accomplishments.

Park City released a statement indicating officials are aware of the arrest of the assistant city attorney.

"As required by the policies and procedures of Park City Municipal Corporation, on Friday, September 7th, Polly Samuels McLean informed our Human Resources Manager of her felony arrest, which occurred the day before, Thursday, September 6th. Park City Municipal Corporation will continue to follow its policies and procedures in this matter and has no further comment at this time," the statement said.

A bow hunter from Riverton, Skip Sheldon Roberts, said the equipment belongs to him. He discovered the equipment was gone when he went to hunt on Tuesday. He said two tree stands, which attach to trees and provide hunters an elevated platform to target animals, were taken. A camera fixed on the immediate area was also taken, as were locks and ladders, he said. Roberts estimated the losses at approximately $1,500. He said the authorities have since recovered the tree stands.

The tree stands had been there for a month without issue, Roberts said, describing that they were placed between 15 feet and 20 feet off the ground.

Roberts said another camera captured images as the equipment was taken. He called the case "premeditated and malicious."

"There's a lot of outdoor enthusiasts in the neighborhood and a lot of anti-hunters," he said.

Roberts said he has hunted in the area for years, recalling that people tell him not to hunt in that area even though he is able to do so.

"They just think it's their backyard, so they own it," Roberts also said.

The Unified Police Department in the Salt Lake Valley said two search warrants were served, one at the McLean residence in the Park City area and one at a cabin in Lambs Canyon, as investigators recovered the items. The two were arrested at their residence, the Unified Police Department said.

Park City is where I live. I'll be following this. And if I have to, I'll even be making a trip down to city hall to make sure this woman is no longer collecting a pay check from my tax dollars. I'm just fed up with the liberal nonsense in this town and all the looney Californians flooding into the area.

Park City and Summit County in general has always been left leaning, but in the last decade it has simply become intolerable. I've recently even seriously considered getting involved in local politics since the area is so overrun with leftist insanity.

They can wear it however they like, just as long as the end result includes the bitch losing her job. Felony convictions for both of them would be nice too.

Just a taste of what I'm talking about when I refer to the nonsense in this town...

Park City School District buys $870k house for new superintendent
by Brian Mullahy

Friday, September 7th 2018

(KUTV) — New Park City school superintendent Dr. Jill Gildea has a $235,000 a year salary, a district-provided car, up to $7,500 a year in “professional development” expenses, and very soon, a home in Jeremy Ranch she will live in rent and mortgage free.

The district is buying the house.

“I think it’s right in line with the ideals that were communicated to us from the community,” said Todd Hauber, district business administrator, who negotiated the purchase down from the list price of $885,000. “There was a desire from the community that the superintendent reside within the boundaries.“

Hauber said school board members and a committee set up to recruit a new superintendent heard that, when they engaged in the search.

Ultimately, the board hired Gildea and approved buying a house in Park City’s sky high real estate market.

“I think that’s insane. I don’t understand why you would do that,” said Creighton Bingley, who has owned a T-shirt store on Main Street for 30 years, echoing a couple of other locals who described the district-paid home as “b---s---.”

Bingley said he thought the superintendent should have to pay for their own housing.

“Yeah, I think they should, and I say that because I do, you do, everybody here in town does,” he said.

A Park City School District release described Dr. Gildea as “an award-winning and published educator,” who was most recently superintendent of schools in Greenwich, Connecticut.

“Dr. Gildea earned her Doctorate in curriculum and supervision from Northern Illinois University, her Master of Education in language and literacy, and her superintendent’s endorsement from National Louis University, and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Bradley University,” the district stated.

Hauber said the median teacher salary in the affluent community is $68,000, with yearly incentives of several thousand dollars, and $1,200 a year for housing or travel expenses.

He said money to purchase the house comes from the district’s "capital projects" budget, which has reserves of $20 million, and is funded through a tax levy.

Several parents in the district said they support the board’s decision.

Quarterly price comparisons in the Jeremy Ranch area were not available; but in Park City, the median second quarter home price was $959,000.

And my property taxes are going up by about 15% next year. A big chunk of that is for the schools.

He's also sponsored by SCARPA out of Boulder, CO.

http://straightchuter.com/sponsors/

Funny his FB page is shut down, but his Instagram account is still up.

Anyway, in his most recent post on IG, he makes a joke about the "American ruling class," which I find odd coming from rich kid skier, who is married to a rich kid city attorney.
