I’m not sure what the effect of inhaling viagra would be, but it seems like a very bad idea - as does inhaling anything “black market”

The wrong amoeba kills in… 4 hours I think. Maybe 5. Might have been that it was four hours from inhalation to starting treatment, to be successful

So, what's the point in resurrecting a 4 year old thread and then saying the same thing as most of the previous 10 pages?

Did you read a new study or something interesting happen?

Yeah, it's a bit eye-opening to see the reactions when the news covers stories about the health impacts of inhaling chemicals. It's kind of a given that putting anything unnatural into our bodies isn't going to be risk-free.

I’m almost coming to the conclusion that we shouldn’t regulate this stuff except to those 16 or less.

Anyone older than that and isn’t smart enough to understand the risks should pay the penalty.

Maybe this is Darwin trying to cleanse the pool a bit.

Still too young. The brain isn't fully developed until 25. Of course a lot of things would come to a grinding halt if we stopped letting people younger than that do anything, but there it is.

I have the same question. Crickets, and then all the sudden a massive media blitz.

I think all you hear about in the media are the few jackasses that try to see how much they can smoke. i.e. How high can they get?
These are the fools that get respiratory arrest.

As I recall, I was 14 (73 years ago) when my dad told me it was OK if I wanted to smoke, but I would have to pay for the cigarettes. I did a quick calculation and figured out that I could buy a lot of .22 ammo for what I would be spending on cigarettes. And that single shot .22 Winchester put a LOT of meat on our table.

Reminder, copied from an earlier post, because this "popcorn lung" spectre keeps getting raised:

Years ago there was a problem called "popcorn lung." That was a result of using a flavour enhancer called diacetyl. (See below.) Once the source of the problem was identified it was eliminated from products. Problem solved.

"Popcorn Lung" is so-called because inhaling the atomized or vaporized form of diacetyl was found to be the primary cause of it. Diacetyl is (was?) commonly used as a flavour enhancer in popcorn. People that were exposed to the fumes from popcorn poppers on a regular basis (E.g.: Workers at movie theatre concession counters) suffered from it.

We live in a complex world where making healthier choices is a constant battle, especially with so many temptations and habits that have been normalized over the years. Finding balance and making informed decisions is key.
